Ecency is an open source social media app built on the decentralized Hive blockchain, where you can publish content, join communities, and take part in discussions. Ecency began in 2016 as eSteem, one of the first open-source mobile apps for the Steem blockchain, created to bring decentralized social media to phones. After Hive forked from Steem in 2020, the project rebranded to Ecency and launched ecency.com on July 22, 2020, expanding across web and mobile with communities, an in-app wallet, and creator rewards. It remains open source and community-driven.

All that is left of SI are clueless questioners and bitter, jaded responders.
