Spokenly's answer
Spokenly is free to use with your own API keys or local transcription models. It works on macOS, Windows, and iOS, supports private offline dictation, cloud transcription, and AI cleanup for polished text anywhere you type.
Codeconfig.dev's answer:
Unlike other Dropbox plugins, File Manager for Dropbox gives you full control over your cloud storage without ever leaving WordPress. Whether you're a blogger, an eCommerce store owner, or managing an LMS, our plugin makes it easy to sync files automatically, integrate with the WordPress Media Library and more.
Spokenly's answer
Choose Spokenly if you want fast voice typing with more control. You can use it offline for privacy, connect your own providers, or use Pro for managed cloud transcription and AI text cleanup.
Codeconfig.dev's answer:
We focus on making Dropbox integration ridiculously easy. A lot of similar plugins either lack flexibility, charge extra for basic features, or make setup complicated. Our plugin stands out because:
Super user-friendly: No coding required—just connect your Dropbox, and you’re good to go. Auto-sync in real time: New files update every 1-3 minutes automatically. Deep WordPress integration: Works with Elementor, Gutenberg, WooCommerce, and major LMS plugins. Powerful file management: Upload, download, embed, and share files directly from WordPress. Shortcode Builder: You can add file browsers, galleries, sliders, and media players anywhere on your site. Great for teams: User-specific folders keep files organized for different team members or customers.
Spokenly's answer
Spokenly is for anyone who writes a lot and wants to type less: developers, founders, writers, students, support teams, accessibility users, and people who work across languages.
Codeconfig.dev's answer:
Our users are anyone who wants a hassle-free way to manage Dropbox files inside WordPress. This includes:
Website owners & bloggers – Easily add Dropbox media files to posts and pages. WooCommerce store owners – Manage digital downloads directly from Dropbox. Course creators (LMS users) – Store and share course materials with students. Photographers & creatives – Showcase images with Dropbox-powered galleries. Teams & agencies – Collaborate on projects with user-specific folders.

I used to use VoiceInk, but I found Spokenly [0] to be easier to use for post-processing the output, and more stable overall (local version with Parakeet or whisper is free). [0]: https://spokenly.app/. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
Check my other comment in the thread [1] - I use https://spokenly.app/ (not affiliated, just a very happy user) [1] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46741885. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
I'm using https://spokenly.app/ in local mode, which is free. Very happy with it. It supports a bunch of models, including whisper and parakeet. Right now I'm mostly using parakeet v3 on my desktop. On iOS I'm also using the same app, with the Apple Speech model, which I found out to be better performing for me than the parakeet/whisper. One drawback is that you need iOS/Mac 26+ - and I haven't bothered to update... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago

It's really not expensive ($0.12/h) and really accurate. https://soniox.com/ You can use it with Spokenly (free app, bring your own Soniox API key) on macOS and iOS (virtual voice keyboard) https://spokenly.app/ Disclaimer: I've worked for Soniox. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
