Guardius features and specs

  • OWASP Active Scan task
Active scanning attempts to find potential vulnerabilities by using known attacks against the selected targets. Active scanning is an attack on those targets
  • OWASP Spider task
The Spider is a tool that is used to automatically discover new resources (URLs) on a particular Site. It begins with a list of URLs to visit, called the seeds, which depends on how the Spider is started. The Spider then visits these URLs, it identifies all the hyperlinks in the page and adds them to the list of URLs to visit and the process continues recursively as long as new resources are found.
  • OWASP Ajax Spider task
The AJAX Spider add-on integrates in ZAP a crawler of AJAX rich sites called Crawljax. You can use it to identify the pages of the targeted site. You can combine it with the (normal) spider for better results.
  • Performance Tests task
Performance testing is a non-functional software testing technique that determines how the stability, speed, scalability, and responsiveness of an application holds up under a given workload.
  • Lighthouse task
Lighthouse is an open-source, automated tool for improving the quality of web pages. You can run it against any web page, public or requiring authentication. It has audits for performance, accessibility, progressive web apps, SEO, and more.
  • API Monitoring task
API Monitoring refers to the practice of monitoring Application Programming Interfaces, most commonly in production, to gain visibility into performance, availability and functional correctness. API Monitoring tools are designed to help you analyze the performance of your applications and improve poorly performing APIs.
  • Ports Scan task
An open port on the server is a very serious hole in the security of your infrastructure. Therefore, it is always very important to keep all ports under control. In computer networking, a port or port number is a number assigned to uniquely identify a connection endpoint and to direct data to a specific service.
  • TLS/SSL Monitor task
An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates a website's identity and enables an encrypted connection. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, a security protocol that creates an encrypted link between a web server and a web browser.
  • Ping task task
A ping (Packet Internet or Inter-Network Groper) allows a user to test and verify if a particular destination IP address exists and can accept requests(test the reachability of a host on an Internet Protocol (IP) network). Ping measures the round-trip time for messages sent from the originating host to a destination computer that are echoed back to the source.
  • Trivy reports task
Trivy is a comprehensive and versatile security scanner. Trivy has scanners that look for security issues, and targets where it can find those issues.
  • Grype reports task
A vulnerability scanner for container images and filesystems. Works with Syft, the powerful SBOM (software bill of materials) tool for container images and filesystems.
  • API/CI/CD
Guardius provides an API so that users can embed it into their pipelines and automatically upload reports for analysis. The API also allows users to run tasks that Guardius should execute on a trigger, which can also be embedded into their pipelines.
  • Statistic
Users can view and download uploaded reports, analyze the number of vulnerabilities and other parameters over time, and compare reports to understand which new vulnerabilities have appeared and which have disappeared. They can assess how their site has improved or worsened from the previous scan and much more.
  • Grouping
Guardius offers the ability to group tasks into projects, and projects into environments. Grouping tasks allows users to understand which project they belong to. Additionally, users can view additional statistics for the entire project or environment, or for all projects and environments.
  • Sharing
If users need to share data, analysis, a task, or project with a colleague, or show a dashboard for a certain amount of time or by the number of views, they can utilize the sharing function. The corresponding task or dashboard will be shown to the colleague in read-only mode without requiring registration.
  • Endpoints
One of the main components of the Guardius platform is its ability to create REST and GraphQL endpoints of any type, which users can later use in various tasks. Users can group endpoints into collections and groups, similar to Postman. They can also import ready-made collections from Postman into Guardius or import/create endpoints from the OpenAPI Specification. Basic operations for copying and moving collections and endpoints are also available.
  • Audit
The Audit module allows users to track activities on the platform, such as logins, login attempts, operations, and changes.
  • Dashboard
Users can view the general status of all projects and tasks, successful and unsuccessful task launches, general actions and state statistics, and more with the help of the Dashboard
  • Reports
Guardius stores all uploaded and generated reports, allowing for detailed analysis of single reports, multiple reports, or reports over a certain period of time. Users can also view and download the source data.
  • Notifications
Guardius provides various notification channels that can be flexibly configured, such as email, WebHook for any type of request (REST/GraphQL), Slack, RocketChat, Mattermost, and Discord. Users can set up channels once and use them across the platform.
  • Integration
With the power of endpoints, users can integrate Guardius with almost any system, as most modern systems have an API. Users set up an endpoint with the desired request type once and use it multiple times across the platform.
  • Security
All sensitive data is encrypted. To prevent possible token theft and upload of spoofed reports, users can configure the upload reports possibility only over predefined IPs.
  • Actions
Each task already includes various built-in scanning or analysis check rules. Users only need to select or configure the option/parameter they need in order to receive notifications that meet their expectations and needs.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Guardius's answer:

Our primary target audience consists of small and mid-sized companies with websites and their own IT infrastructure. We also target large companies, as well as specialists in the IT security domain, DevSecOps, DevOps, developers (both frontend and backend), penetration testers, quality assurance testers, compliance officers, and cybersecurity specialists. Our ideal customer is a midsized company with their own DevOps and cybersecurity department.

What makes your product unique?

Guardius's answer:

All-in-one platform combines four specialized areas: Security, Performance, SRE/Ops and Analysis.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Guardius's answer:

When comparing competitors, it's evident that most of them focus on developing their product in-depth, while Guardius prioritizes breadth and widening of the feature offerings and intends to continue expanding both in breadth and depth based on market and customer needs. Depth implies a concentrated focus on a highly specialized area (for instance, website security or performance), with various features developed around it. Breadth, on the other hand, involves combining different areas and features into one platform while retaining the ability to add new areas and features without deviating from the overall concept.

Our competitive advantages are:

  • All-in-one platform: combines four specialized areas: Security, Performance, SRE/Ops, Analysis into single Guardius platform..
  • Automation: simplifies execution of repetitive tasks from multiple IT areas.
  • Customization: highly customizable tasks with flexible settings to meet diverse client requirements.
  • One uniform design / interface: maintaining consistency in the visual appearance and user interface across Guardius platform.
  • Cost reduction: no need to purchase separate products for each task.
  • Website security monitoring and testing for risk reduction through early vulnerability detection.
  • Uniform workflow: principle of decomposition allows for the reuse of defined resources.
  • Integration of different security and performance tools and frameworks.

Unlike our competitors, we focus on addressing various customer needs and offer the convenience of conducting multiple tasks in one place, including website security monitoring, performance testing, and report analysis.

Additionally, we offer:

  • Generating and detailed analysis of security and performance reports in one place to save customer analysis time or configure automatic checks.
  • Automation of tasks and processes to detect issues and changes in KPI performance.
  • Notifications and alerts to inform customers about potential problems.
