Split Secure is a security solution that manages "secrets" (such as passwords, credentials, encryption keys, etc.) by splitting them across multiple devices, rather than storing them in a single vault. This approach means no single device ever holds the complete secret, which significantly...

SplitSecure's answer
Founded in 2024 by CEO Tristan Morris in Sunnyvale, California, SplitSecure was created with a mission to redesign enterprise access management by focusing control on the actions being executed rather than just the identity of the user. SplitSecure closed a $4.5 million Seed funding round with backing from investors like the Berkeley SkyDeck Fund in Q4 2025, theniIn January 2026, SplitSecure officially launched out of stealth mode, introducing its patented S2 algorithm which is a cryptographic tool based on Shamir’s Secret Sharing that splits credentials across multiple devices so secrets are never stored in a single place. SplitSecure is now available on the Apple App Store, and actively secures critical infrastructure for both human and AI-automated enterprise workflows
SplitSecure's answer
SplitSecure is based on the S2 algorithm, a patented secret-splitting algorithm based on Shamir's Secret Sharing. The S2 algorithm makes it possible to split secrets (like credentials and keys) across multiple devices, such that no device ever persists the secret, and the secret does not have to be exposed to be used.
Because the secrets are never persisted anywhere, an attacker cannot extract them by compromising a single device or conducting a phishing attack against a single employee. Instead, they would have to compromise a critical mass of the entire storage network simultaneously, without being detected at any point in that process.
