SplashPilot Pro is all-in-one pool service software for independent pool operators โ€” whether you run 10 pools or 100. It replaces the spreadsheet and expensive route apps with one flat-priced, self-serve platform.

One app runs the whole route:

  • Clients & pools โ€” a clean directory of customers and their pools with full service history.
  • Recurring service visits โ€” schedule weekly or biweekly stops that auto-generate the work.
  • Optimized day routes โ€” build efficient routes so techs drive less and service more.
  • My Day tech view โ€” a phone-friendly view for the crew with check-ins, service logging and photos.
  • Aerial pool measuring โ€” size a pool from satellite imagery for instant, accurate quotes.
  • Quotes & invoices โ€” send branded quotes and invoices, billed in 17 currencies.
  • Client portals โ€” a private link where customers see their history and pay.
  • Crew tracker โ€” the owner sees where techs are and what got done.
  • Dashboard & reports โ€” revenue, routes and performance at a glance.

Built for pool service owners who want professional scheduling, routing, measuring and billing in one easy app โ€” flat $20/month, unlimited pools and clients, with a 7-day free trial and no card to start. A simple alternative to Skimmer, Pool Brain and Paythepoolman.

React Engine features and specs

  • Isomorphic rendering
React Engine enables both server-side and client-side rendering of React components, providing a seamless isomorphic/universal JavaScript experience. This allows for faster initial page loads and better SEO while maintaining rich client-side interactivity.
  • Express.js integration
React Engine is designed as a view engine for Express.js, making it easy to integrate React into existing Express-based applications with minimal configuration. It follows familiar Express conventions for setting up view engines.
  • Built-in React Router support
The library comes with built-in support for React Router, enabling developers to easily set up server-side and client-side routing without complex manual configuration.
  • PayPal backing
React Engine was developed and maintained by PayPal, which provided credibility and ensured it was battle-tested in a large-scale production environment before being open-sourced.
  • Simplified setup
The library abstracts away much of the complexity involved in setting up server-side rendering with React, reducing boilerplate code and allowing developers to get a universal React application running quickly.

Possible disadvantages of React Engine

  • Abandoned project
The repository appears to be no longer actively maintained, with no recent commits or updates. This makes it risky to use in production as bugs and security vulnerabilities may go unpatched.
  • Outdated dependencies
React Engine was built for older versions of React and React Router. It may not be compatible with modern versions of React (16+, 17, 18) or React Router (v5, v6), limiting its usefulness in current projects.
  • Limited ecosystem support
The library is tightly coupled to Express.js, meaning it cannot be easily used with other Node.js frameworks like Koa, Hapi, or Fastify, reducing its flexibility.
  • Better modern alternatives
Modern tools like Next.js, Remix, and Vite with SSR plugins provide far more comprehensive and well-maintained solutions for server-side rendering with React, making React Engine largely obsolete.
  • Limited documentation and community
The project has relatively sparse documentation and a small community, making it difficult for new developers to troubleshoot issues or find examples and best practices for advanced use cases.

Analysis of React Engine

Overall verdict

  • Unable to verify a project specifically named 'React Engine' on GitHub with confidence, as this does not correspond to a widely recognized or well-documented open-source project that I have reliable information about. There may be multiple small or niche repositories using this name, and quality would vary significantly between them.

Why this product is good

  • React Engine is not a commonly recognized name in the mainstream React ecosystem
  • No verifiable consensus data on stars, maintenance status, documentation quality, or community adoption is available
  • Could refer to a personal project, a boilerplate, a rendering engine, or a niche tool - without more context, its quality cannot be assessed
  • Names like this are sometimes used for student projects, abandoned repos, or experimental tools that lack production readiness

Recommended for

  • Not recommended without further verification
  • Developers should search GitHub directly, check star count, last commit date, open issues, and documentation before adopting
  • Best suited for evaluation on a case-by-case basis rather than a blanket recommendation
  • If you have a specific repository URL, sharing it would allow for a more accurate assessment

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing SplashPilot Pro and React Engine.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

SplashPilot Pro's answer

Skimmer, Pool Brain and Paythepoolman either charge per tech, gate the best features behind higher tiers, or nickel-and-dime you as you grow. SplashPilot Pro is one flat $20/month for unlimited pools and clients, with a 14-day free trial and no card to start. Routes, the tech app, aerial measuring, quotes, invoicing and client portals are all included.

What's the story behind your product?

SplashPilot Pro's answer

SplashPilot Pro is part of a family of flat-priced, zero-dependency SaaS apps for small service businesses. The idea was to give pool pros the same routing, measuring and billing power the big platforms charge hundreds for โ€” as one fast app at one honest price, with no per-seat billing and no bloat.

What makes your product unique?

SplashPilot Pro's answer

SplashPilot Pro runs an entire pool service business โ€” clients and pools, recurring visits, optimized routes, a phone-friendly tech app, aerial pool measuring for instant quotes, and invoicing โ€” from one flat-priced app. It is built for independent operators, 10 pools or 100, and is fully self-serve with no per-seat fees and no "book a demo" wall.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

SplashPilot Pro's answer

Independent pool service companies โ€” from a solo route to a small crew, 10 pools or 100 โ€” who want professional scheduling, routing, a phone-friendly tech view, instant aerial quotes and simple invoicing in one affordable app instead of a spreadsheet or expensive route software.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

SplashPilot Pro's answer

A dependency-free Node.js backend built on the platformโ€™s standard library, serving a no-build vanilla-JavaScript single-page app. Aerial pool measuring uses Esri satellite imagery with a Nominatim geocoding proxy; billing runs on Stripe; email and TOTP two-factor are implemented in-house. Deployed in Docker behind Cloudflare.
