Possible disadvantages

  • Smaller Community and Ecosystem
Compared to major hosting providers like DigitalOcean, AWS, or even shared hosts like SiteGround, Opalstack has a smaller user base, which means fewer community tutorials, third-party guides, and forum discussions available for troubleshooting.
  • Limited Scalability Options
Opalstack is primarily a shared hosting provider, which means it may not be the best choice for high-traffic applications or projects that require rapid, on-demand scaling of resources like CPU, RAM, or storage.
  • Not Ideal for Beginners
While developer-friendly, Opalstack's approach can be intimidating for non-technical users. Setting up applications often requires familiarity with the command line and server configuration, which may not suit those looking for simple one-click solutions.
  • Limited Data Center Locations
Opalstack offers a relatively small number of data center locations compared to major cloud providers, which may result in higher latency for users targeting audiences in regions not well-served by the available server locations.
  • Fewer Managed Services and Add-ons
Unlike larger hosting platforms, Opalstack lacks a wide range of managed add-on services such as built-in CDN integration, managed backups with granular restore options, or one-click SSL management that more mainstream providers offer out of the box.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Souluma and Opalstack.

What makes your product unique?

Souluma's answer

Most "manifestation" apps stop at a pretty vision board that's forgotten in a week. Souluma is the grounded version — it links your vision to a few real goals and one small thing you actually do today, with honest expectations (no guaranteed outcomes, no magical thinking).

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Souluma's answer

People often compare manifestation/journaling apps and habit/vision-board tools. Souluma's difference is that it connects the whole loop (vision → goals → daily practice) in one grounded, no-hype app, instead of being just a vision board or just a journal.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Souluma's answer

For people who like the idea of manifestation but are tired of the hype — and for anyone who wants a calmer way to set a vision and actually follow through. Common uses: planning a fresh start (new year, new chapter), building a daily habit (journaling, gratitude, affirmations), turning a vision board into concrete goals, and a short meditation reset.

What's the story behind your product?

Souluma's answer

The builder herself benefit from the methodology loop of Souluma, that's why she build this app for more people who have big life vision but have difficulty turning into daily smallest action. Souluma is a grounded manifestation app. It turns a big-picture vision into goals and one small daily practice — vision boards, affirmations, journaling, gratitude, and short meditations — so intentions become repeatable daily actions instead of wishful thinking. It's free to start and works on web and Android. A personal-growth practice, not therapy or a promise of results.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Souluma's answer

With assistance of AI, most functions are built with simply and straight forward like cavas, text input, and timer. Also with support from RAG and LLM in AI coaching regarding contexts user recorded.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Souluma's answer

We are still in early stage, so key users would be individuals. But if any community would like to have deeper cooperation, we are open for all to allow as many users get to use the method and the tools to make a change and live the way as they wish.
