  • Complex Initial Setup
The initial setup and configuration process can be complex and requires adequate expertise, which may be challenging for teams with limited experience.

While it supports a wide range of third-party applications, there may still be some vendors whose patches are not supported, requiring manual handling.

Each submission is sealed with a SHA-256 hash — any later edit is detectable.
  • Randomized photo challenges
The system initiates unannounced photo requests, so proof can't be staged in advance.
  • Dispute-ready evidence packets
Sealed records export as an organized packet the moment a claim or chargeback lands.
  • Site proximity verification
Submissions are checked against the job site's location, flagging photos taken elsewhere.
  • AI photo review (advisory)
Automated review flags photos that don't match the task instructions — advisory only, never blocking a submission.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing SolarWinds Patch Manager and LockProof.

What makes your product unique?

LockProof's answer:

LockProof turns field work into verifiable, tamper-evident records. Workers receive a text or WhatsApp link that opens the live camera—without allowing gallery uploads—and each submission receives a server-set timestamp, a SHA-256 fingerprint, and GPS when the worker shares location. Workers do not need to install an app or create an account.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

LockProof's answer:

LockProof is purpose-built to prove that a scheduled visit or task actually happened. Unlike tools that simply organize uploaded photos, LockProof combines live-only capture, automated reminders, unpredictable request timing, server-set timestamps, and a documented chain of custody. The resulting record is searchable and ready to share if a customer, auditor, or property owner questions the work.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

LockProof's answer:

LockProof is built for organizations managing recurring work performed away from the office. Its primary users include property managers, commercial cleaning companies, security teams, snow and ice contractors, field-service businesses, vacation-rental operators, and home-care agencies. It is especially useful for managers who need reliable proof that workers or vendors completed a visit or task.

What's the story behind your product?

LockProof's answer:

LockProof began with a common problem: field work may genuinely be completed, but when someone questions it weeks later, the only evidence is often a memory, a checkbox, or an undated photo buried in a group chat. LockProof was created to close that gap by giving honest operators a clear record that can stand on its own—making disputes shorter and completed work easier to prove.
