When analyzing the financial reports of multiple companies, I have to repeatedly perform the above operations: open SEC --> search for companies --> filter report types --> open the HTML report --> download and convert to PDF format --> upload to ChatPDF. It feels so tedious and boring!
ChatPDF free users can only upload two PDFs per day, with each PDF being limited to a maximum of 20 pages. Even after subscribing, the above repetitive steps still cannot be omitted.
During this period, I also looked for many alternative products, but those products offered me a lot of features I didn't want. I just want a simple tool for analyzing financial reportsโsomething concise, aesthetic, and easy to use.
Until one night, I was still repeating the above operations, feeling irritable (boring tasks always make people irritable), and I thought, "Why don't I develop a website myself where financial reports of all companies can be analyzed directly? I wouldn't need to perform so many tedious, repetitive operations anymoreโhow wonderful that would be!"
Once I had the thought, I immediately started working on it. However, the process was not smooth, because to collect information from thousands of companies, you can't just make a simple page displaying financial reports; you also need to display company information.
Additionally, I needed to download the annual and quarterly reports of each company over the past decade, amounting to hundreds of thousands of financial reports, then convert them uniformly to PDF format, and further process them into AI-readable data for storage and quick retrieval.
It has saved me a lot of time, allowing all financial report analysis to be conducted directly on the platform. It's concise, aesthetic, and easy to use. I wonder if it might be helpful for you.
Later, Chat2Report was launched. It has the same functionality as ChatPDF, but you no longer need to collect financial statements, convert the format, and upload them.
