Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing SimplePractice and Message1.

What makes your product unique?

Message1's answer:

Message1 is purpose-built for telephone answering service and secretarial teams — not retrofitted from a generic helpdesk or CRM. Agents work in a browser-only workflow (no legacy desktop installs), while captured messages reach end clients via SMS, email, Threema, or the Message1 App (iOS, Android, PWA) with push, inbox, and availability status. It was developed with real operators, supports multi-client mandant structures, and is rooted in Switzerland/DACH with GDPR-conscious design, serving teams across Europe and in English.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Message1's answer:

Choose Message1 if you run a telephone answering or secretarial service and need software that matches how your team actually works: fast message capture at the desk, structured client data, per-priority delivery across channels, and optional mobile delivery to your clients’ staff via the Message1 App. Unlike broad contact-center or helpdesk tools, Message1 focuses on the TAS workflow end to end — browser for agents, multi-channel and app delivery for recipients, without forcing a generic CRM model.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Message1's answer:

The primary audience is telephone answering services, virtual secretarial providers, and inbound service teams that handle calls on behalf of other businesses. Secondary users are the end clients’ employees who receive messages via the Message1 App. The product is B2B, with strongest adoption in Switzerland and DACH and growing use across Europe and English-speaking markets.

What's the story behind your product?

Message1's answer:

Message1 was founded in 2021 to digitize telephone answering and secretarial workflows that still relied on offline desktop tools and manual handoffs. Built in close collaboration with operators in the field, the platform grew into a cloud system for mandant management, structured message capture, and delivery via SMS, email, Threema, and — with the Message1 App — directly to the recipient’s phone. The goal has stayed the same: remove media breaks between taking a call and getting the message to the right person, reliably and professionally.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Message1's answer:

  • Cloud-hosted SaaS platform (browser-based operator workflow)
  • Message1 App: Quasar/Vue progressive web app with Capacitor native builds for iOS and Android
  • REST API backend for sync, authentication, and message delivery
  • Push notifications via OneSignal (with platform push services)
  • Multi-language support (DE, EN, FR, IT, ES, NL, DA, SV, and more)

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Message1's answer:

  • Independent telephone answering services in Switzerland and the DACH region
  • Virtual secretarial and office service providers
  • Inbound service teams serving SME and professional clients (e.g. trades, practices, law firms)

We do not publish individual customer company names without their permission; our users are primarily specialist service providers rather than end enterprises running their own call center.
