Sidemail is an all-in-one email delivery platform mainly focusing on SaaS businesses. It covers everything for delivering and managing emails โ transactional emails, email marketing, email automation, contact profiles management, and subscribe forms. What developers and business owners appreciate the most is its easy integration, intuitive UI, and amazing customer care.
Sidemail was founded in 2018 and is based in the EU.
Email sending API Start sending transactional emails like password reset or welcome emails from your application in just a few minutes โ Sidemail makes it incredibly easy to create, maintain, analyze, and deliver beautiful transactional emails.
Product updates & newsletter Send product update emails (newsletters) and let your users know whatโs new in your product with Messenger. Itโs as easy as sending an email directly from your Gmail account, except you can send to all users and see the stats.
Automated email sequences Set up email automation to deliver your email or sequence of emails when a defined event happens โ for example, user sign-up. Use it to onboard new users, convert them into paying customers, and minimize churn.
Hosted subscribe forms Collect subscribers effortlessly without touching a code. Sidemail subscribe forms are simple to set up, easy to share, and you can customize them to fit your brand.
Contact management All your subscribers in one neatly organized place that always has enough room. Collect email addresses, and grow your email list with simple to set up subscribe forms that are easy to share.
No-code email editor Create responsive, well-tested email templates without code โ Sidemail no-code editor is the simplest way to craft professionally-looking, responsive email templates that won't break in Outlook. Just upload a logo, pick brand colors, and you're ready to start sending in style.

As a mini-blog, it is a nice alternative for Medium to publish and share information about programming.
However, the community and the organization are biased toward social justice (and they are open to it). You can read its Code of Conduct, it is so vague and politically leads (I prefer a term of service because it defines fair rules for everybody). So it alienates developers that we don't care about politics in pro of people that want to talk about any other topic such as sexuality, how women are unprivileged, and such. It even mandates to use inclusive language. Good grief.
My main complaint is the quality of the community. It is not StackOverflow (so we don't want to ask for an answer here), and most of the top topics are clickbait, such as "how to become a rockstar developer in ... days", "100 tips to become a better programmer" (and it doesn't even talk about programming).
Technically this "mini blog" site allows us to use markdown, and it is okay. However, the whole experience is really basic. Even the template is ugly.
Based on our record, DEV.to seems to be a lot more popular than Sidemail. While we know about 648 links to DEV.to, we've tracked only 6 mentions of Sidemail. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Setting up DKIM may sound technical, but modern email providers (ESP) and services have made it straightforward. As a SaaS company, youโll typically use an email sending service (like Sidemail, SendGrid, Mailgun, etc.) or your own mail server to send emails. Letโs break down the setup process:. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago

Another effective approach is to use an email platform built specifically for SaaS communication. These tools make it easy to design and send dunning emails triggered by your app or billing system. Platforms like Sidemail let you create automated email sequences and trigger them via API or webhook when specific events occur โ such as a failed payment. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
Use a Reputable ESP or Infrastructure: Your email service provider can influence your deliverability. Good ESPs enforce best practices and provide tools to help your reputation (like automatic suppression of bounces, feedback loop integration, and validated authentication). They may also have โmanagedโ shared IP pools that are kept clean. If youโre a smaller sender, being on a high-quality shared IP with other... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago

While developing Wasp, a JS full-stack framework, we keep researching other ecosystems (Rails, Laravel, Django, etc.) and finding ways how they figured out developer productivity. We kept finding these reusable legos, so we gave them a name: "full-stack modules". Let's define what we mean by that exactly. - Source: dev.to / 6 days ago
If you want to see where your site sits in this distribution, run an audit โ it takes about 12 seconds. - Source: dev.to / 10 days ago
Getting a first thing online is a milestone worth not reaching alone. A MLH hackathon is the perfect place to try: build, break, and deploy alongside other people over a weekend. And DEV is always here for the other parts, open all the time, where a new coder can post the project, ask for feedback, and read how someone else cleared the same hurdle. - Source: dev.to / 10 days ago
Same idea. Four rewrites. Four character budgets. Four hashtag policies. Four mental models of an algorithm I do not control and cannot see. And that is before you reach Mastodon, Threads, Reddit, a newsletter, dev.to, and whatever launched this quarter. - Source: dev.to / 12 days ago
Visualizing how Docker Compose services connect to each other โ which services share networks and which are isolated โ helps catch misconfigured networking before deploying. InfraSketch parses Docker Compose files and maps services and their network relationships as a diagram. - Source: dev.to / 15 days ago
