TablePlus
LibreDB Studio is a browser-based SQL IDE that is installed next to the database rather than on each user's machine. It runs as a single container, a Helm chart, an OpenShift operator, a native package (Homebrew, Snap, deb, rpm, winget), a desktop build for Linux, or as an npm package embedded in another product.
Ten engines share one interface: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, SQLite, MongoDB, Redis, Couchbase, ClickHouse and Apache Druid. The editor is Monaco, the same core used by VS Code, with schema aware autocomplete, multiple tabs that keep independent execution state, visual EXPLAIN plans and a virtualised result grid for large sets.
The schema tools behave the same way on every supported engine: an explorer over tables, views and indexes, ER diagrams generated from real foreign keys with PNG and SVG export, schema snapshots on a timeline, and a diff between any two snapshots or two connections that produces migration SQL.
Natural language to SQL is optional and runs against a model you configure, which can be Gemini, OpenAI, Claude or a local model served through Ollama or LM Studio, so the schema does not have to leave the network.
Team features are part of the same build rather than a paid tier: OIDC single sign on, role based access control, a query audit trail and column level data masking. The project is MIT licensed.

Doing some Googling Sequel Pro looks very promising as well as Navicat. Ideally something FOSS or at least free, but willing to pay if needed. Source: about 5 years ago
