Sentriment
CommitCat

Most feedback tools count votes on a public board. Sentriment reads everything instead, including the feedback nobody ever posts: support conversations, app store reviews, in-app messages, survey responses and imported spreadsheets. Every item is analyzed for sentiment, emotion, type and the...

  • Free and Open Source
CommitCat is offered as a free tool, lowering the barrier to entry for individuals and small teams who need a Git client without the cost associated with some commercial alternatives.
  • Cross-Platform Support
CommitCat is designed to work across multiple operating systems, allowing developers on different platforms to use the same familiar tool for their version control needs.
  • Beginner-Friendly
The tool is positioned to help newcomers to Git and version control by providing a more visual and intuitive way to manage repositories, commits, and branches without needing deep command-line expertise.
  • Lightweight Application
CommitCat is designed to be a lightweight Git client that doesn't consume excessive system resources, making it suitable for developers who prefer a lean, fast tool over feature-heavy alternatives.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Feature Set
Compared to more established Git clients like GitKraken, Sourcetree, or Fork, CommitCat may lack advanced features such as built-in merge conflict resolution tools, advanced branch visualization, or deep integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Small Community and Ecosystem
As a lesser-known tool, CommitCat has a smaller user community, which means fewer tutorials, community-driven plugins, and peer support compared to mainstream Git clients.
  • Limited Visibility and Traction
CommitCat appears to have limited online presence and user reviews, making it difficult for potential users to assess its reliability, maturity, and long-term viability before adopting it.
  • Uncertain Development Activity
It is unclear how actively CommitCat is being maintained and developed. A tool with infrequent updates may fall behind in compatibility with newer Git features or operating system updates.
  • Lack of Enterprise Features
CommitCat may not offer enterprise-grade features such as team collaboration tools, access control integrations, or support for large-scale repository management that organizations often require.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Sentriment and CommitCat.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Sentriment's answer

TypeScript, Next.js, PostgreSQL, AI.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Sentriment's answer

Deep feedback analysis usually means an annual contract and a sales demo. Sentriment has a free plan, paid plans from €49/month with unlimited seats, and ranks themes by revenue, not volume. It's hosted in Frankfurt.

What makes your product unique?

Sentriment's answer

Sentriment is the only that prices feedback in revenue. Groups feedback from your app, inbox and app-store reviews into themes, shows the MRR behind each one, and alerts you when a paying customer turns at-risk. Personal data is redacted before storage.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Sentriment's answer

Founders and product managers at early-stage B2B software companies with no analyst, who need to know what to build next and who's about to churn.

What's the story behind your product?

Sentriment's answer

Small teams collect lots of feedback but have no time to read it, and the tools that analyse it properly are priced for enterprises. We built Sentriment in 2026 to give small teams the answer: which problems matter, and what they cost.

Having all the feedbacks in one central place with user profiles and money behind each really makes sense to me. I know what users are saying at scale with a money bias, which I think is the right approach. In...
