About Seiri and Second Computer

In their own words, as submitted to SaaSHub.

Seiri
SC
Second Computer

Seiri is a unified monitoring platform for webhooks, cron jobs, and Kubernetes workloads. Most teams end up stitching together 2-3 separate tools to catch failures across their background infrastructure — a heartbeat monitor for cron, a webhook debugger for integrations, and something else...

True to its name (derived from the Japanese word for 'organize'), the app is built around helping users sort, categorize, and manage their digital content or tasks efficiently.
  • Lightweight and fast
Being a focused tool rather than a bloated all-in-one suite, Seiri tends to load quickly and perform smoothly even on lower-end devices.
  • Intuitive workflow
The app's design often follows familiar organizational patterns, making it easy for new users to pick up without a steep learning curve.
  • Encourages productivity habits
By structuring how users manage their information or tasks, Seiri can help build better habits around organization and reduce time spent searching for things.
  • Enhanced Focus
Second Computer provides a dedicated device, minimizing distractions compared to multitasking on a single computer.
  • Improved Productivity
By separating tasks across two devices, users can maintain workflow organization and potentially increase productivity.
  • Simplified Workflow
Having a second computer allows for a more streamlined workflow where users can dedicate each device to specific tasks.
  • Backup Solution
A second computer acts as a backup system, ensuring users can continue working if one device encounters issues.

Possible disadvantages

  • Increased Costs
Purchasing and maintaining a second computer can be costly, involving expenses for hardware, software, and potential repairs.
  • Complex Setup
Setting up and managing two computers can be complex, requiring time and effort to configure and synchronize data across devices.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Seiri and Second Computer.

What makes your product unique?

Seiri's answer

Seiri unifies webhook monitoring, cron/scheduled job monitoring, and Kubernetes workload monitoring in one dashboard, instead of requiring separate tools for each. Most monitoring tools specialize in just one of these — a heartbeat monitor for cron, a webhook debugger for webhooks, a K8s-native tool for workloads — which forces teams to stitch together 2-3 subscriptions and dashboards. Seiri gives real-time failure alerts, event logs, retry tracking, and analytics across all three from a single place, so you get one source of truth for "is my background infrastructure actually running."

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Seiri's answer

If you're only monitoring cron jobs, tools like Healthchecks.io or Cronitor work fine. If you're only debugging webhooks, Hookdeck or Svix are solid. But if your stack involves a mix — scheduled jobs, incoming webhooks, and Kubernetes workloads, which is increasingly the norm for teams running microservices — Seiri means you're not paying for and context-switching between three separate tools. You get consistent alerting, logging, and analytics across all of it.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Seiri's answer

Backend and platform engineers at small-to-mid-sized engineering teams running distributed systems — companies with scheduled jobs, webhook-driven integrations, and Kubernetes infrastructure who need visibility into silent failures (a cron job that stops running, a webhook that starts failing, a K8s job that never completes) before they cause downstream problems.

What's the story behind your product?

Seiri's answer

Seiri was built on a simple observation: most monitoring tools are either too basic (a single heartbeat ping) or too expensive and complex for smaller teams to justify (enterprise observability platforms with steep learning curves and pricing). We wanted to democratize monitoring — give any team, regardless of size or budget, the same visibility into webhooks, cron jobs, and Kubernetes workloads that used to require a dedicated observability stack and a platform team to run it. Seiri exists so that catching a silently-failing cron job or a broken webhook integration doesn't depend on how big your engineering org is.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Seiri's answer

Seiri is built for Kubernetes-native environments and designed to scale horizontally alongside the infrastructure it monitors, leaning on CNCF-ecosystem tooling for observability and orchestration (e.g. Prometheus-style metrics collection, Kubernetes-native job/CronJob APIs). The backend is written in Go for performance and low-overhead monitoring agents.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Seiri's answer

Our early customers include engineering teams running production Kubernetes and webhook-driven infrastructure — details are currently under NDA as we're in early access. We're prioritizing case studies and public logos as customers reach general availability.
