RevCut is the frictionless video review and delivery platform designed specifically for freelance video editors.
It positions itself as a streamlined alternative to heavy enterprise tools like Frame.io, built for an "Active Storage" workflow rather than passive cloud archiving.
Why Freelancers choose RevCut:
-Zero Friction ("No-Login"): Clients receive a secure link to watch and comment. No account creation or app download required. -Precise Feedback Tools: Go beyond simple comments with Frame Pins (to point at details) and Range Selection (to mark specific sequences). -Active Workflow: A clean pipeline: Upload โ Review โ Approval โ Delivery. Once a project is done, use "Wrap It" to archive metadata in read-only mode. -Integrated Delivery:** Replace WeTransfer. Deliver approved high-res masters directly from the review page. -Privacy First: Built on Cloudflare R2 for low latency, secure global streaming, and full GDPR compliance.

RevCut.io's answer:
RevCut is the only platform built on an "Active Storage" philosophy. It combines the review phase (like Frame.io) and the delivery phase (like WeTransfer) into a single seamless link. Unlike competitors, it completely removes friction by eliminating client logins while maintaining high security and GDPR compliance.
RevCut.io's answer:
Choose RevCut for Simplicity and Speed. Frame.io is powerful but often "overkill" and expensive for freelancers. RevCut offers the essential professional features (timecode notes, frame pins, range selection) without the enterprise bloat. Plus, it handles final delivery of high-res masters, saving you the cost of a separate file transfer subscription.
RevCut.io's answer:
Our core audience consists of Freelance Video Editors, Colorists, Motion Designers, and small Video Production Agencies. It is designed for creative professionals who need a fast, private, and professional way to get client approval without managing complex team permissions.
RevCut.io's answer:
RevCut is built for speed and privacy using a modern serverless architecture. We rely on Cloudflare Workers for backend logic and Cloudflare R2 for storage, ensuring global low-latency streaming and zero egress fees. The frontend is lightweight Vanilla JS to ensure the fastest possible playback experience for clients on any device.
RevCut.io's answer:
RevCut is a tool born from reality, not a boardroom. As a filmmaker and editor (Resolve user since 2013), I hit a wall: a major client refused Frame.io due to GDPR concerns. I wanted to move away from the Adobe ecosystem anyway, but alternatives were either overkill or too expensive, and sharing feedback via email was too cumbersome.
Faced with personal hardship, I treated this project as my "survival raft." I used my coding skills to build the lightweight, privacy-first tool I desperately needed. RevCut is my vehicle for creative independence and financial stabilty. It allows me to regain control over my workflow, with the ultimate ambition of self-financing the independent feature film I have written. Built by a filmmaker, for filmmakers who value their freedom.

I'm currently using screenlight.tv and its cheap and good. However, it does not allow for client branding. It only allows to display my own branding. I tend to freelance for multiple organisations as as part of their team. So providing review links with their branding would be a good move. Source: over 3 years ago
Screenlight is a video review platform that lets clients make notes on a video that you can sync back to a timeline as markers. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles as frame.io, but very simple to use, and clients don't need to create an account. Source: about 5 years ago
