RMPrepUSB is highly recommended for IT professionals, system administrators, and technical enthusiasts who require advanced features and flexibility in creating bootable USB drives. Casual users looking for a simple solution might prefer a tool with a more user-friendly interface.
mkusb might be a bit more popular than RMPrepUSB. We know about 1 link to it since March 2021 and only 1 link to RMPrepUSB. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Another thing you could try is using some sort of partition manager program to completely wipe the USB drives partitions to start from a clean slate. https://rmprepusb.com/ is a free utility that can do this with it's 'clean' option :). Source: about 3 years ago
Hello everyone, I have previously used mkusb and mkusb-dus on Ubuntu to make live USB sticks for various distros. However, I can't find that version available for Arch. I've found the githubversion on the AUR, but the github version clearly states that it is NOT related to Ubuntu's version. Does anyone know if I can somehow get Ubuntu's version "do USB stuff" on Arch? Source: over 4 years ago
