Riverd is a free, all-in-one practice management platform designed specifically for solo wellness practitioners — massage therapists, health coaches, acupuncturists, and other hands-on providers.
Most practice management tools are built for large clinics with enterprise pricing to match. Riverd flips that: it gives independent practitioners everything they need to run their practice professionally, without the overhead.
What you get: Online booking — clients book directly from your personalized practice page, no back-and-forth messaging Session management — calendar view, client history, session notes, and status tracking Client CRM — manage your client base, track visit history, and keep private notes Practice website — a beautiful, SEO-optimized public page that works as your online storefront Provider directory — get discovered by clients searching for practitioners in your area AI-powered tools — smart features to help you manage and grow your practice Why practitioners choose Riverd: Free to start — no credit card, no trial period, no feature walls Built for solo practitioners — not a stripped-down enterprise tool, but purpose-built for independents Set up in minutes — create your practice page, set your services, and start accepting bookings right away Mobile-friendly — manage everything from your phone between sessions Whether you're just starting your practice or looking to ditch spreadsheets and WhatsApp scheduling, Riverd gives you the professional tools you deserve.

Riverd's answer
Riverd is purpose-built for solo wellness practitioners — not a scaled-down enterprise tool. Most platforms like Jane App or SimplePractice are designed for clinics and charge accordingly. Riverd starts free, sets up in minutes, and includes a built-in provider directory with 12,000+ practitioners so clients can discover you organically. It's the only platform that combines practice management with a public marketplace for wellness professionals.
Riverd's answer
Competitors charge $50–$80/month from day one and are built for multi-provider clinics. Riverd is free to start, takes minutes to set up, and is designed for the way solo practitioners actually work — from their phone, between sessions. You get a professional practice page, online booking, client management, and directory visibility without paying for features you'll never use.
Riverd's answer
Independent wellness practitioners — massage therapists, health coaches, acupuncturists, and similar hands-on providers who run their own practice. Typically solo operators or very small teams who need professional tools but don't want the complexity or cost of clinic-oriented software.
Riverd's answer
Riverd was born from seeing how many talented wellness practitioners were stuck managing their practice through WhatsApp messages, paper calendars, and spreadsheets. The tools that existed were either too expensive or too complex for someone running a one-person practice. We built Riverd to give independent practitioners the same professional infrastructure that larger clinics have — without the enterprise price tag.

Sites like https://www.powerdiary.com/ or http://therapynotes.com offer such services, but for a hefty fee. I was wondering if someone knew of any self-hosted alternatives? (I don't mind paying a one-off, so it needn't be free). Source: over 4 years ago
For the life of me I cannot get the autocorrect or spellchecker to work on therapynotes.com, which is absolutely maddening to me given my work. It works in other apps and it works on other websites including this one. I prefer Safari but the problem is replicated on Chrome. I am running a 2021 MacBook pro with the latest OS. The help desk for the website says the website does not have this disabled. It does work... Source: almost 5 years ago
