Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing RideDesk and Second Computer.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

RideDesk's answer

Next.js with TypeScript, a Postgres database (Supabase), deployed on Cloudflare. AI features (reply drafting, booking-text parsing, chat) run on the Claude API with provider fallbacks, and every account exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so AI agents can integrate directly.

What makes your product unique?

RideDesk's answer

Prices are never AI-guessed: every quote is computed server-side from the operator's own rate card — distance, hourly or fixed routes. Each account is white-label on its own domain and even exposes its own MCP server, so AI agents like Claude and ChatGPT can quote and book real rides through the operator's approval flow. And there's a free-forever plan for small fleets, with 0% commission on fares.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

RideDesk's answer

Most dispatch platforms charge per booking, per driver seat, or take a commission. RideDesk is a flat monthly fee with 0% commission on fares — and there's a free plan, not just a trial. It also covers transfers AND vehicle rentals in one panel, and ships things operators usually pay extra for: compliant invoicing with consecutive numbering, a shared email + WhatsApp inbox, embeddable booking widgets and a WordPress plugin, all white-label on your own domain.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

RideDesk's answer

Independent airport-transfer, chauffeur, taxi and vehicle-rental operators — typically 1 to 50 vehicles — who take bookings on their own website under their own brand, rather than through a marketplace. The panel currently speaks English and German, and the booking widgets cover 12 languages.

What's the story behind your product?

RideDesk's answer

RideDesk began as the in-house booking and dispatch system of a working airport-transfer operator in Germany, and grew into a multi-tenant SaaS. That desk-first origin shapes the product: quotes, driver handling, invoicing, payments and the customer inbox live in one panel because a real dispatch desk runs on it every day. It is built and operated by RidenRank Ltd, a UK company based in Bristol.
