I think this is a really common logo shape, which is why so many people vaguely recognise it; example, heres a recent example from Hugo Ferradas. A company called Enelift. It's also just because It's a lot more expensive to sell these kind of brand (not made in a chinese factory (well, I hope so) and not produced at a large scale like nike etc) The price of his merch on represent.com is not expensive. At this stage your main goal should be to prototype it and test it with people to validate the idea. Or at the very least have something people can look at and respond to. Donโt worry about building a coded and working version yet. Start with a clickable prototype which can be built using design tools.
