CommitCat 5 features
  • Comprehensive Streaming Integration
Reelgood aggregates content from multiple streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more, offering a centralized place to browse and search for movies and TV shows across platforms.
  • Universal Search
The platform provides a powerful search feature that allows users to find content available on various streaming services, saving time from having to search each service individually.
  • Personalized Recommendations
Reelgood offers personalized content recommendations based on user viewing habits, which can help discover new movies and TV shows tailored to individual preferences.
  • Watchlist Functionality
Users can create watchlists to keep track of content they are interested in watching across all integrated platforms.
  • Free to Use
Reelgood is available for free, providing access to its vast array of features without any subscription fee.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Content Availability
Due to regional licensing restrictions, some content might not be available in all locations, potentially limiting the usefulness of the platform for some users.
  • Dependent on External Services
Reelgood depends on the APIs of streaming services for data, which means any changes made by these services (e.g., removal of API access) could impact Reelgood's functionality.
  • Advertising
While Reelgood is free, it does feature advertisements, which some users may find intrusive or annoying.
  • User Interface
Some users report that the interface can be cluttered or overwhelming, especially when navigating through a large number of streaming options.
  • Privacy Concerns
As with any service that collects user data to provide personalized recommendations, there may be privacy concerns about how user data is stored and used by Reelgood.
  • Simplified Git Interface
CommitCat aims to provide a user-friendly graphical interface for Git, making version control more accessible to developers who may find the command line intimidating or cumbersome.
  • Free and Open Source
CommitCat is offered as a free tool, lowering the barrier to entry for individuals and small teams who need a Git client without the cost associated with some commercial alternatives.
  • Cross-Platform Support
CommitCat is designed to work across multiple operating systems, allowing developers on different platforms to use the same familiar tool for their version control needs.
  • Beginner-Friendly
The tool is positioned to help newcomers to Git and version control by providing a more visual and intuitive way to manage repositories, commits, and branches without needing deep command-line expertise.
  • Lightweight Application
CommitCat is designed to be a lightweight Git client that doesn't consume excessive system resources, making it suitable for developers who prefer a lean, fast tool over feature-heavy alternatives.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Feature Set
Compared to more established Git clients like GitKraken, Sourcetree, or Fork, CommitCat may lack advanced features such as built-in merge conflict resolution tools, advanced branch visualization, or deep integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Small Community and Ecosystem
As a lesser-known tool, CommitCat has a smaller user community, which means fewer tutorials, community-driven plugins, and peer support compared to mainstream Git clients.
  • Limited Visibility and Traction
CommitCat appears to have limited online presence and user reviews, making it difficult for potential users to assess its reliability, maturity, and long-term viability before adopting it.
  • Uncertain Development Activity
It is unclear how actively CommitCat is being maintained and developed. A tool with infrequent updates may fall behind in compatibility with newer Git features or operating system updates.
  • Lack of Enterprise Features
CommitCat may not offer enterprise-grade features such as team collaboration tools, access control integrations, or support for large-scale repository management that organizations often require.

Overall verdict

  • Reelgood is generally considered a good tool for people who use multiple streaming platforms. It provides a convenient, all-in-one place to search for content, discover new shows and movies, and manage your viewing options. However, its usefulness might depend on individual streaming habits and which services you currently subscribe to.

Why this product is good

  • Reelgood is a streaming guide and search engine that consolidates various streaming services into one platform, making it user-friendly for those who want to track and discover content across multiple services. It allows users to see where shows and movies are available, manage watchlists, and get personalized recommendations. This can save time and effort for users who subscribe to multiple streaming services and want to keep track of what they want to watch.

Recommended for

Reelgood is ideal for avid TV and movie watchers who subscribe to multiple streaming services and want an efficient way to manage and discover content. It's particularly beneficial for those looking to streamline their viewing experience and ensure they don't miss shows and movies available across different platforms.

Overall verdict

  • CommitCat is a lesser-known tool listed on F6S with limited independent reviews, feedback, or verifiable usage data available publicly, making it difficult to fully vouch for its quality or reliability. It may serve niche use cases but lacks the widespread validation seen in more established developer tools.

Why this product is good

  • Listed on F6S, a platform for startups, which can indicate early-stage or niche tooling
  • May offer specific functionality related to commit tracking or Git workflow management
  • Could provide value for small teams or individual developers looking for lightweight solutions
  • Limited market presence means less community support, documentation, or third-party reviews
  • Unclear long-term support or update frequency given its low profile

Recommended for

  • Developers or teams willing to experiment with lesser-known or early-stage tools
  • Startups or indie hackers looking for niche commit-related utilities
  • Users who prioritize trying new tools over established, well-reviewed alternatives
  • Not recommended for enterprises or teams needing proven, well-supported solutions with strong community backing

  • Where to Watch?
I've had decent success tracking down titles with Reelgood (https://reelgood.com/), which is basically a streaming aggregator. Also, it's not streaming but I actually got about a dozen Vinegar Syndrome and Partner Label titles on disc... Source: over 3 years ago
  • Any plug-ins to allow for Plex to show non-local owned movies (Movies on Vudu/iTunes/Amazon etc)
To be fair reelgood.com can do the same thing but I like justwatch better. Source: over 3 years ago
  • What ship is this? It's the only one I can't really place from anywhere.
I don't know what else to tell you, other than I only watched a few seconds of each episode, and to recommend the streaming search engines Reelgood and Justwatch. Source: over 3 years ago
