Redis is an open source (BSD licensed), in-memory data structure store, used as a database, cache and message broker. It supports data structures such as strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets with range queries, bitmaps, hyperloglogs, geospatial indexes with radius queries and streams. Redis has built-in replication, Lua scripting, LRU eviction, transactions and different levels of on-disk persistence, and provides high availability via Redis Sentinel and automatic partitioning with Redis Cluster.
DBConvert Studio is a desktop application that combines database migration and synchronization engines in one GUI. It converts schema, data, indexes and views between MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite, MS Access, FoxPro, Firebird, IBM DB2 โ including cloud platforms such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL, Supabase and Neon.
Connections can be configured for one-time migration, scheduled jobs, or bidirectional synchronization. The trial is fully functional, with character data watermarked after the first 50 records per table.
Built by SLOTIX s.r.o. (Slovakia) since 2001. Licences from US$599.
DBConvert StudioDBConvert Studio is recommended for database administrators, IT professionals, and developers who require reliable tools for database migration, synchronization, or conversion between different database management systems. It is especially useful for organizations managing multiple database platforms or looking to migrate data with precision and flexibility.
Good alternative to other migration tools, has many features and settings,i am migrating my databases fastly to my web server on regular basis.
Great tool! Our research trust has been using this tool for the last 5 years. We have received a lot of support which was very personal and due to the complexity of our MS access database even a customisation was made to the program to be able to import all our records without any problems. I highly recommend this tool for migration, but also in our case for daily synchronisation of an active MS Access database to MySQL.
I'm using DBConvert Studio for replicating many MySQL databases to Postgres and it is very handy so it's quite powerful tool for doing such jobs.

Why a cache server? Well, to be, a cache system is the smallest piece of software one can found everywhere. There is a reason why redis, memcached or many other projects like that are used by everybody: developers need a way to store data quick. It could be for a session, for temporary data or simply to avoid annoying the main core database. A cache service is easy to create (key/value store), and can become... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago

Redis works well as the queue layer for this pattern. The receiver appends events to a list or stream. Workers consume from the stream, update event status on completion, and move failed events to a dead-letter queue after exhausting retries. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Bifrost supports dual-layer semantic caching with exact match and semantic similarity. Backend options include Redis for exact caching, Weaviate for vector-based semantic matching, and Qdrant as an alternative vector store. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
In-memory caching shared across instances. There are no sticky sessions by default (though session affinity is available on a best-effort basis). Each request might hit a different instance. If you need shared state, you need an external store like Redis or Memorystore. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
