Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Lightwhale's answer:

Buildroot, Makefiles, Docker, bash shell scripts.

What makes your product unique?

Lightwhale's answer:

By far the easiest way to host Docker containers, even Docker Swarm clusters. Zero installation, zero configuration, and zero maintenance, just boot straight into a ready environment and focus on what matters: Your workload.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Lightwhale's answer:

System administrators and DevOps roles of professional enterprise solutions, homelab enthusiasts, and everything in-between.

What's the story behind your product?

Lightwhale's answer:

I got tired of maintaining of my home servers. Not my workload, of course. That's the fun and exciting part. But since all that was long running in containers, the operating system beneath seemed somewhat superfluous. So I decided to eliminate it — or reduce it as much as possible. I succeeded, and the result is Lightwhale.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Lightwhale's answer:

People who install a mainstream Linux distribution only to then install Docker. Lightwhale will eliminate a lot of tedious system maintenance and unnecessary moving parts and complexity.
