Enoch File
Stop searching. Start finding.

Enoch File is a digital filing cabinet for the physical and digital paperwork of the real world โ€” taxes, medical records, receipts, insurance, school papers, warranties. Built for individuals and solopreneurs, not IT departments.

Files are organized using a physical-world hierarchy you already understand: Cabinets โ†’ Drawers โ†’ Folders. No learning curve, no AI features you didn't ask for, no team workflows.

What makes it different

  • Your files live in your own Google Drive. Enoch File never stores or sees your documents. We don't own servers.
  • We can't lock you out. Cancel anytime โ€” your files stay exactly where they are. As long as Google exists, your files exist.
  • One job, done well. Not a CRM. Not a note-taker. Not a meeting transcriber. Just secure, structured document storage and rapid retrieval with Google-powered search.

Built for

  • Household CEOs managing family medical records, tax history, and insurance documents
  • Solopreneurs separating business receipts from personal files
  • Evernote refugees tired of paying $99โ€“$249/year for features they don't use

Features

  • Unlimited cabinets, drawers, folders, and files (Premium)
  • Email-in: forward attachments to a private address and they land in your file cabinet
  • Email-out: send files to anyone directly from the app
  • Search by name, tag, or full text
  • Preview files in the app or download to your device
  • Archive Vault for old records you don't need daily
  • Built-in Evernote and Google Drive importers
  • View-only sharing of individual files
  • Works on desktop, laptop, tablet, and phone

Pricing

  • Free: 1 cabinet, 4 drawers, 200 files
  • Premium: Unlimited cabinets, drawers, folders and files. $29.99/year (or $3.99/month) โ€” less than the cost of dinner out

With Enoch File, your files will never die.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing RectifyData and Enoch FIle.

What makes your product unique?

Enoch FIle's answer:

  • We don't store your files, we just help you organize them, find them, and use them. If we disappeared tomorrow, your files would still be there. If you cancel your subscription, same thing. We literally cannot lock you out of your own data. As long as Google exists, so will your files.
  • We offer flexibility but impose some structure, so you can create all the cabinets, drawers and folders you need, but you can't go hog wild and nest things eight-levels deep.
  • Our document management solution is straight forward and intuitive. Plus, it's all we do. We don't want to be your second brain, manage your calendar, or offer collaboration. We store your documents so you can quickly access them at your desk or on your phone.

What's the story behind your product?

Enoch FIle's answer:

Our founder created Enoch File because he had fourteen years of data in Evernote and didn't want to keep paying $249.99 a year for "features" he didn't need or want. They held his files hostage, so he developed a way to export them into the Google infrastructure where they are safe, accessible, and storage is cheap. Then he built an interface to make it easy and intuitive to find, preview and export his 17,000 files. He shared the app with his wife, and now the world.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Enoch FIle's answer:

Compared to generic cloud storage like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, Enoch File adds the structure and workflow those tools deliberately leave out. You get a real hierarchy that doesn't degrade into chaos after six months, plus features they don't offer: email-in to capture attachments, in-app preview, tag-based search across everything, and an Archive Vault for records you don't need every day but can't delete. If you find cloud storage confusing or difficult to use, we make it easy by providing structure and tools.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Enoch FIle's answer:

  • Individuals, not corporations
  • Families, not the Fortune 500
  • People without IT departments who value simplicity and minimalism
  • Solopreneurs who want to separate personal and business data and expense
  • Anyone who wants to be more organized and declutter their inbox

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Enoch FIle's answer:

  • Frontend: React with Tailwind CSS deployed via Firebase Hosting
  • Backend: Node.JS and Express running serverlessly on Google Cloud Run
  • File Storage We use the Google Drive API with per-user OAuth 2.0 โ€” every file lives in the user's own Google Drive, not on our servers
  • Authentication: Google Sign-In via Firebase Auth
  • Database: Google Cloud Firestore for session management and subscription data
  • Payments: Paddle Billing

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Enoch FIle's answer:

  • Household CEOs โ€” the person in a family responsible for medical records, tax documents, insurance policies, school papers, warranties, and the general administrative weight of running a household.
  • Pragmatic Migrators โ€” people leaving Evernote, Notion, or other all-in-one productivity tools that grew too expensive or too bloated for the simple document storage they actually wanted.
  • Solo Operators โ€” freelancers, consultants, and side-hustlers who need a clean separation between business records (receipts, invoices, contracts) and personal files without paying for accounting software they don't need.
