Analysis of RSSHandler

Overall verdict

  • RSSHandler was a lightweight, open-source RSS parsing library hosted on the now-defunct Google Code platform, and while it may have been useful in its time, it is effectively unmaintained and outdated today, making it a poor choice for modern projects.

Why this product is good

  • It was a simple, lightweight solution for parsing RSS feeds in its era
  • Being open-source, it allowed developers to inspect and modify the code freely
  • It served basic RSS handling needs without heavy dependencies

Recommended for

  • Legacy projects that already depend on it and cannot easily migrate
  • Developers studying older RSS parsing approaches for educational purposes
  • Archival or historical reference rather than active production use

Because helpdesk software is typically complicated to set up, has complicated pricing structures and generally an overblown feature set. Really Simple Support is simple and easy by design. You can be setup in literally 2 minutes.

Founders, entrepreneurs, indie hackers, early stage startups.

What's the story behind your product?

Really Simple Support's answer

I am a successful SaaS founder and I'm now wanting to go back to building grass roots products because I remember how hard it was in the early days. I want to build GREAT products for founders and entrepreneurs that don't cost the earth and are simple to use.
