Skillshot Reader is an app built for speed reading, made with knowledge of reading science and psychology. The app allows the user to read faster by utilizing speed reading techniques.
The app is based on substantial amounts of reading science and psychology. One technique which is able to be used within the software is known as RSVP reading, where words are typically flashed one at a time at rapid speeds.
The software can also help to reduce regressions which is widely considered as another main reducer of reading speeds. It does this not only through RSVP reading but also through other speed reading techniques as well.
This app was primarily made for nonfiction readers, although fiction readers can definitely benefit from it as well, especially if they struggle to read quickly. Students will appreciate the amount it helps boost their reading speed without losing their place. It also will help them to increase their focus and overall increase their reading abilities, which helps not only for homework, but also for tests where they won't have access to the app directly.
Entrepreneurs and nonfiction readers will appreciate the ability to increase their reading speed while also helping improve comprehension. What good is reading the books if you can't remember any of it? Entrepreneurs of course also can benefit from using it to increase focus and productivity.
This app is built not only for speed but also to help train your reading in general, which is one of the reasons it's so powerful.
Overall, we believe this to be the best speed reading app, and if not, it is regardless incredibly powerful and is also beginner-friendly. Even a beginner can get started and get results within the first 30-60 minutes of use.

I imported my kindle highlights, as many others. Now I daily review some highlights (thanks to a dashboard, I am motivated). And where I didn't create highlights, as I only listened to the audiobooks, I get the highlights from others. It also allows to create beautiful quotes. It adds the book cover and matches quote and background with colours found on the book title! Really nice!

The only highlights that Readwise retrieves semi-automatically are from the books I buy from Kindle, by going into the Readwise app and clicking a button. If I upload them to Kindle or need highlights from the Apple Books app, I have to open the book, go to my highlights, select them all, and then email them to a Readwise email address. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
Readwise also has this feature.
