Perfect for when you are on the go.

Bandlab may not be as powerful as the other DAWs out there. But the one thing it does have is a mobile app. The app is constantly improving on itself and the support team is very personable. There are limitations such as no way to creat busses and limited to only 16 tracks. But you can utilize other software to enhance tracks if needed. For someone who is always on thr Go and theres not much time to work on a project at home or in the studio bandlab will be your hero. You can simply arrange from your phone where ever you are. The plug ins are very elaborate and powerful as well. They have virtual instruments which i have yet to see from the few other DAWs ive used. And their online Mastering is actually very very rich in sound if you gain stage correctly. Between me and you. I also love the cloud aspect of it. I use bandlab as a form of backing up my work in case disaster occurs. So for that they get give stars.

Bandlab mixes up a combination of music-making and social interaction. So you can make your own music and share it and discover other artists all within the same app. But the key bit for us is that the music production part is rather good.

  • HELP: Processing to Trigger Animations
The trick is, how are you going to trigger? Touch sensitive surface? Rear-mounted camera (a la the Reactable)? Other camera? (which may have problems with people stepping between the canvas and the camera, rather than getting what their hands are doingโ€ฆ Good for silhouettes, not for touchโ€ฆ). Source: almost 5 years ago

Bandlab mentions (20)

  • Ran out of breath during the chorus and nearly passed out haha.
It does just have a silly hole and leaks saliva like mad. Should get it a tiny sanitary napkin haha. I'm using Cakewalk mostly, or https://bandlab.com which is the same thing on the web. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Digital music creation newbie here
Yeah, BandLab is simple and easy to get up and running and could be worth trying. (Well, I've tried BandLab online at bandlab.com rather than the app.) It's self-contained and comes with its own instruments. I think it could do ambient and cinematic, but I won't vouch for orchestral-level cinematic per se (but getting orchestras to satisfy me in any DAW might involve more tweaking than I would bother with.).
