You can reorder columns, create new columns in between your data and the sync will continue working as expected.

In the application we built for the client we had two modal instances, the filtering modal (that used the native modal) and an alert modal (where we used UI Kitten's modal). You can sync your Notion database with Sheets using Notion2Sheets which supports both formulas and rollups. Then create the charts in Sheets and embed them back in Notion. Source: over 3 years ago

The best I can recommend is using Notion2Sheets, where you can sync your Notion database with Google Sheets, then make one columns Sheets to Notion and use Apps Script to set the values. Source: about 4 years ago
