Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing QuickBox and PayTimeHub.

What makes your product unique?

PayTimeHub's answer:

It's four small, single-purpose payroll calculators (hours-to-decimal, paycheck, raise, hourly-to-salary) that run entirely client-side — nothing typed is ever uploaded, logged, or stored. No account, no signup, no ads gating the result.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

PayTimeHub's answer:

Every competitor is either an ad-supported content site (SmartAsset, Calculator.net), a lead magnet for paid payroll software (ADP, Gusto, Paycor, QuickBooks), a dated tool pushing a paid tier (PaycheckCity), a full signup-required app (Homebase, ezClocker), or a spreadsheet you have to build and maintain yourself. PayTimeHub is free, purpose-built, has nothing to sell you, and gets you an answer instantly with no clutter.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PayTimeHub's answer:

People who run payroll for a small team by hand, hourly workers checking a real pay stub or job offer, and anyone who needs a quick, trustworthy payroll number (a raise, a converted salary, a weekly total) without handing their real numbers to a random website.

What's the story behind your product?

PayTimeHub's answer:

Saurabh and co-founder Ashay used to run payroll for a small team themselves. Every pay period meant rebuilding the same spreadsheet: converting punch times to decimal hours, checking withholding math, figuring out what a raise really meant. After rebuilding that spreadsheet for the third time (and repeatedly hitting the classic 30-minutes-as-.30-instead-of-.5 mistake), they decided to just build the tool instead.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

PayTimeHub's answer:

Astro, Tailwind CSS v4, and vanilla client-side JavaScript for the calculators (everything runs in-browser, no backend or data upload). Deployed to Cloudflare Pages via Wrangler.
