DomainBook Pro is portfolio management software for domain brokers and investors. It replaces the 40-column spreadsheet with one command center that connects to your registrars, auto-imports your domains, and tracks cost basis, live expirations, valuations, reputation, ROI and sales across your whole book.

What it does

  • Registrar sync โ€” connect GoDaddy, Cloudflare or Namecheap (multiple accounts each) to auto-import domains and keep expirations, nameservers, auto-renew and lock status in sync.
  • Portfolio register โ€” every domain with TLD, registrar, dates, nameservers, auto-renew and WHOIS-privacy status in one searchable, customisable table.
  • Live RDAP/WHOIS โ€” refresh real expiry dates, status and nameservers for one name or the whole book, with automatic background refresh.
  • AI valuations โ€” automatic value estimates (auction, marketplace, brokerage) filled on import and refreshed daily, alongside cost basis and list price.
  • Reputation monitoring โ€” scan domains against Spamhaus and other blocklists with a weighted, credit-score-style reputation score plus SPF/DMARC checks.
  • Watchlist & drop-catch โ€” track names you don't own and get alerted when one nears expiry (30 & 7 days out) or becomes available.
  • Expiration alerts โ€” color-coded 30/60/90-day countdowns plus a private calendar feed (ICS) for Google, Outlook or Apple.
  • ROI & sales โ€” log sales with commission, net profit, holding period and annualized ROI; sold/dropped ledgers and a quarterly Hold/Monitor/Review/Drop review.
  • Alerts your way โ€” push sales, drops, new domains and watchlist events to Slack, Discord, Telegram or Zapier/Make, choosing what each channel gets.
  • Reports & exports โ€” multi-currency display (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD) with CSV and multi-tab Excel export.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Python Examples and DomainBook Pro.

What makes your product unique?

DomainBook Pro's answer:

DomainBook Pro is built around the economics of a domain book, not just record-keeping. It tracks acquisition cost basis, fees and renewals paid, then computes net profit, ROI and annualized ROI on every sale โ€” and it pulls live RDAP data so expiration dates are real rather than remembered. Portfolio, renewals, sold and dropped ledgers, health benchmarks, multi-currency reports and Excel exports all live in one workspace, for a flat $20/month with no per-domain fees.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

DomainBook Pro's answer:

Most brokers are juggling a spreadsheet, a self-hosted tool like DomainMOD, or a marketplace-first platform like Efty. DomainBook Pro is hosted and maintained for you, and it focuses on the decisions that actually cost money: live RDAP expiration tracking with 30/60/90-day surfacing, true cost basis and ROI math, quarterly Hold/Monitor/Review/Drop tiering, and portfolio-health benchmarks. Pricing is flat $20/month for unlimited domains โ€” it doesn't scale up as your book does.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

DomainBook Pro's answer:

Domain brokers and investors running anywhere from a few dozen to several thousand names across multiple registrars โ€” solo flippers, small brokerages and portfolio managers who have outgrown a spreadsheet but don't want to self-host and babysit a heavyweight tool. One login per brokerage, unlimited domains.

What's the story behind your product?

DomainBook Pro's answer:

DomainBook Pro grew out of the 40-column spreadsheet every domain investor eventually builds โ€” the one that goes stale the moment a name renews and never tells you your real return. It was built by MacappDevelops LLC as a deliberately focused tool: fast, hosted, one login per brokerage, unlimited domains, and every number a broker actually needs to make a renew-or-drop call. It launched in June 2026.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

DomainBook Pro's answer:

A dependency-free Node.js backend built entirely on Node's standard library, serving a no-build vanilla-JavaScript single-page app. Live domain data comes from RDAP/WHOIS over raw HTTPS, billing runs on Stripe, and CSV/XLSX exports are generated server-side. Deployed in Docker behind Cloudflare.
