I do hobby programing. It is sometimes to create something (supposedly) useful. Lately though it is more discovery and a little math like. I enjoy Project Euler (https://projecteuler.net/. Every time I get a new API endpoint, I do the same small dance: look at a response, eyeball the shape, write a TypeScript interface, copy-paste it into the codebase.
