Most status pages collapse the whole world into one green dot. If you're up in Virginia but down in Frankfurt, that dot is lying to your customers. RealUptime checks from four regions (US East, US West, Europe, Asia Pacific) and shows every region's reading by default, so a partial outage can never hide behind a healthy average.

It's one platform with four products for the same team:

  • Status pages with per-region readings, incident communication, custom domains, and subscriber notifications
  • Uptime monitoring with alerts through your channels and a vendor watchlist that tells you when a service you depend on goes down
  • Error tracking that groups exceptions into issues and tracks them across releases
  • Free "Is it down?" pages for 190 popular services, measured by our own probes rather than scraped from vendor status pages

Pricing is flat. No per-subscriber fees, no per-check metering, no surprise overages. You know your bill before the month starts, and bundling two or three products earns a discount. The free tier is real: 10 monitors and a public status page, forever.

For automation there's a REST API, an MCP server so AI assistants can check status directly, a GitHub Action for deploy gates, and a Terraform provider for monitoring as code.

Built for developers, indie teams, and agencies whose customers need the truth about an outage.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing ProcessKO and RealUptime.io.

What makes your product unique?

RealUptime.io's answer:

Every check runs from four regions and every region's reading is shown by default, on the public status page, not buried in a dashboard. Most tools collapse the world into one green dot, which means a regional outage can hide behind a healthy average. RealUptime treats "up in Virginia, down in Frankfurt" as information your customers deserve to see. That, and flat pricing: no per-subscriber fees, no per-check metering.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

RealUptime.io's answer:

Two reasons. First, honesty by default: per-region status readings your customers can trust, instead of a single dot that averages problems away. Second, predictable cost: incumbents charge per status-page subscriber or per check, which punishes you for growing. RealUptime is a flat monthly price, the free tier is permanent, and one platform covers status pages, uptime monitoring, and error tracking so you are not stitching three vendors together.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

RealUptime.io's answer:

Developers, small software companies, indie founders, and agencies who need to tell their own customers the truth about an outage. Teams big enough to need a status page and monitoring, but not big enough to want enterprise observability pricing.

What's the story behind your product?

RealUptime.io's answer:

I spent 8 years managing a T-Mobile retail store before building this. Retail teaches you that customers forgive problems but never forgive being lied to. When I looked at status page tools, the standard design was a single green dot that stays green while a whole region is down. I built RealUptime as the tool I would trust as a customer: every region shown, flat pricing, and a free outage tracker measured by our own probes instead of trusting vendors' own status pages.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

RealUptime.io's answer:

Next.js and TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and a probe fleet deployed across four regions on Fly.io.
