Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

PrepParity 6 features
Code Parcel 5 features
  • The Bouncer (Relevance Test)
Tests any uploaded study material against the UPSC syllabus and 14 years of past papers, filters out the noise, and tells you exactly what's worth studying for Prelims and Mains.
  • Smart Content Extraction
Extracts the high-yield Prelims and Mains content from your own material and structures abstract information into usable, exam-ready form — without generating or summarising for you.
  • PYQ Practice
Pairs every topic with real past UPSC questions so you study each topic through the lens of how it's actually tested, not as a separate exercise at year-end.
  • Mains Subject Interlinkages
Builds connections across GS papers and Mains subjects so you learn to think across silos — the way the exam actually demands.
  • Foundation (Syllabus Roadmap)
Maps the entire UPSC syllabus to NCERT and source URLs topic-wise, so beginners know exactly where to start.
  • Mastery Map & Active Recall
A topic only counts as mastered once you've actively recalled and written it. A visual map tracks your real syllabus coverage so you always know what's done and what's left.
  • Quick Prototyping
Code Parcel allows developers to quickly create and share code snippets and prototypes directly in the browser, making it convenient for rapid development and experimentation.
  • Easy Sharing
The platform makes it simple to share code with others via URLs, facilitating collaboration and code review without requiring complex setup or version control configurations.
  • No Setup Required
As a browser-based tool, Code Parcel requires no local installation or environment configuration, allowing users to start coding immediately from any device with a web browser.
  • Multi-Language Support
Code Parcel supports HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, enabling front-end developers to build and preview complete web components in a single integrated environment.
  • Live Preview
The platform offers real-time preview of code output, allowing developers to see changes instantly as they type, which speeds up the development and debugging process.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Feature Set
Compared to more established online code editors like CodePen or CodeSandbox, Code Parcel may offer fewer features, integrations, and community resources.
  • Lesser Known Platform
Code Parcel has a smaller user base and community compared to competitors, which means fewer shared examples, templates, and community-driven support resources.
  • Limited Backend Support
The platform is primarily focused on front-end technologies, which limits its usefulness for developers who need to work with server-side languages or full-stack applications.
  • Dependency on Internet Connection
Being a fully browser-based tool, Code Parcel requires a stable internet connection to use, making it unsuitable for offline development scenarios.
  • Potential Storage Limitations
As a smaller platform, there may be limitations on the number of projects or the amount of code you can store, which could be restrictive for heavy users or larger projects.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing PrepParity and Code Parcel.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

PrepParity's answer

Most UPSC tools help you collect more material or generate answers for you — both of which create the illusion of competence without real mastery. PrepParity does the opposite: it ruthlessly filters out irrelevant material so you don't waste time, extracts exactly what matters for Prelims and Mains from your own sources, and then forces active recall and answer writing so a topic only counts once you can actually produce it. It also includes a Foundation feature that maps the whole syllabus to NCERT and source URLs, so beginners know where to start. It's built by someone who prepared for UPSC for four years, so every feature targets a real preparation failure.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

PrepParity's answer

Next.js, FastAPI (Python), PostgreSQL and an AI layer for relevance scoring and content extraction.

What's the story behind your product?

PrepParity's answer

PrepParity was built by a founder who is a tech enthusiast and product developer but also himself prepared for UPSC for a couple of years, and has attempted both Prelims and Mains. Those years revealed the real traps in preparation: hoarding PDFs that were never studied, passively reading material that felt productive but built no recall, and reaching the exam hall unable to structure an answer on topics already "covered" several times. Later came the idea of PrepParity designed with advices of UPSC experts - it is the tool built to fix exactly those failures — to filter the noise, force active mastery, and keep preparation aligned with how the exam actually tests.

What makes your product unique?

PrepParity's answer

PrepParity is an end-to-end UPSC preparation system, not a content provider or a summariser. It tests whether any study material is actually relevant to the exam, extracts the high-yield content for both Prelims and Mains, structures it, pairs every topic with real past questions, and builds interlinkages across Mains subjects. Crucially, the AI handles the filtering, extraction, and structuring — but the student does the recall, the practice, and the answer writing. It won't think for you. Most tools either deliver content or generate answers; PrepParity makes you actually master what you study.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PrepParity's answer

Serious UPSC aspirants — primarily self-study and repeat candidates who are overwhelmed by the volume of material, unsure what's actually relevant, and struggling to convert reading into exam-ready answers. The Foundation feature also makes it useful for beginners who need a clear syllabus roadmap to start from. The common thread: aspirants who want structure and genuine mastery, not more PDFs or AI-written shortcuts.
