ThresholdIQ: Rebuilt the Engine From the Ground Up
A few weeks ago I launched ThresholdIQ to help teams monitor spreadsheet data without needing heavy BI tools like Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
The first version used simple threshold rules: upload a file, set limits, and receive alerts when values crossed them.
It worked โ but one issue kept appearing.
Setting thresholds is harder than it sounds.
Seasonal revenue, slowly drifting metrics, and correlated data often break rule-based systems. So instead of improving the rule engine, I removed it.
ThresholdIQ v2 now uses 9 concurrent anomaly detection methods to detect unusual patterns automatically.
When you press Detect, the engine runs multiple analyses directly in your browser:
multi-window Z-score baselines
EWMA deviation detection
SARIMA seasonal modeling
Isolation Forest outlier detection
correlation deviation checks
DBSCAN clustering
Additional detectors catch seasonal hour/day effects, slow trend drift, and stuck or zero-value signals.
Each method contributes to a weighted score that determines alert severity: Warning, Critical, or Emergency.
Why everything runs in the browser
All analysis happens locally โ your data never leaves your machine. No server processing, no external APIs, no third-party calls.
The ML libraries are bundled directly into the app so everything runs offline.
Tech stack: Vanilla JS, Web Workers, Chart.js.
If you regularly monitor spreadsheet data, Iโd love feedback.

ThresholdIQ.appThresholdIQ.app's answer:
Grafana shows what happened, ThresholdIQ shows what WOULD happen with different thresholds
ThresholdIQ.app's answer:
The tool lets you test thresholds on historical data before deploying: โข Upload CSV/Excel or paste from clipboard (even works with PDFs!) โข Set warning/critical/emergency thresholds โข See exactly which alerts would have fired โข Visualize on a timeline โข Export reports
ThresholdIQ.app's answer:
Devops , SRE Teams and even business who want to test their data for their performance setting up the threshold.
ThresholdIQ.app's answer:
I built ThresholdIQ after getting paged at 3am because of badly tuned alert thresholds. The classic problem: set them too low โ alert fatigue, set them too high โ miss critical issues.
ThresholdIQ.app's answer:
Tech stack: Vanilla JS, Web Workers, Chart.js. No frameworks, no server.

This is a new App, looking of genuine users and feedback,
Based on our record, PowerShell seems to be more popular. It has been mentiond 23 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Addressing these concerns requires safeguards and automation. Our "in-house" solution is based on powershell for git scripting and logic and ADO tools set for git repo hosting, tracking, planning, linking, building, execution, and querying purposes. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago

- Pick something unique to your team thatโs an irritant and find a way to automate it. We used Powershell to do this ourselves, but I know people also use BASH. Source: over 3 years ago
Uh, what? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/ is not official to you? Source: over 3 years ago
