What's the story behind your product?

Posture Reminder App's answer

The AI Posture Reminder App, also known as PostureNet, was developed by Leon Wei, a former senior manager of applied machine learning at Apple. With a rich background leading teams in data science, software engineering, and product management at major tech companies like Apple, Chegg, and Amazon, Leon brought his deep expertise in large-scale machine learning systems to solve a personal challenge.

Why AI Posture Reminder App? The inspiration came from Leon's own experiences while working extensive hours in front of computers at Apple, leading to neglect of proper posture and resulting in severe back and neck pain. Initially, Leon relied on his team to help him remember to sit up straight, a strategy that improved his posture significantly until the isolation brought on by Covid-19 made it ineffective.

Motivated by the need for a sustainable solution to maintain good posture without external reminders, Leon created AI Posture Reminder App. This AI utilizes the latest in computer vision and machine learning techniques to monitor posture in real-time, offering a personal, technology-driven solution to posture management. Since using AI Posture Reminder App, Leon has seen remarkable improvements in his posture and a reduction in neck and shoulder pain.

Leon Wei invites anyone interested in improving their posture to try AI Posture Reminder App and connect with him on Twitter or LinkedIn for questions or feedback.

RS-X is a library that allows you to bind expressions to plain objects and makes the parts of the model used by those expressions fully reactive. I like htmx, LiveView, React and Solid. They are great at different points, so I try to combine them in Solv (Stateless Offline-capable LiveView) and write a prototype to show the benefits. Solv's main idea is that stateless servers keep client's state in a volatile cache. It enables server components that are also interactive, which is best of both worlds between LiveView and htmx.
