PostcardMania was founded in 1998 as a small startup with a handful of staff. Since then, Founder/CEO Joy Gendusa has grown the company organically with only a phone, a computer and direct mail โ without any outside funding or investment โ into one of the nationโs leading marketing companies specializing in lead generation for small to large-sized businesses.
Today, PostcardMania employs more than 360 staff in the Tampa Bay, FL area and generates over $100 million in annual revenue. PostcardMania has printed over 2.24 billion mail pieces, delivered 298,000+ campaigns, and served over 100,000 clients and counting in over 350 industries.
Their suite of services includes design, printing, mailing list acquisition, mailing services, digital advertising, website development, email marketing, multichannel campaigns, API integration, responsive direct mail automation, and more โ all while maintaining an extensive collection of more than 4,500 successful campaigns.
With a fleet of 5 commercial printing presses and a manufacturing team of more than 30 print professionals, PostcardMania is a rarity among API and other triggered direct mail tech companies. Rather than act as the middleman and farm out printing to other manufacturers, PostcardMania handles 100% of its printing, addressing, mailing services in-house. This provides two decades' worth of expertise and quality control to every aspect of the direct mail process.

DEV.toPostcardMania's answer
There are many different direct mail companies across the United States, but few compare to PostcardMania, a one-stop-shop for direct mail, workflow automations, and omnichannel marketing. Unlike most direct mail automation providers, PostcardMania boasts an in-house printing service with decades of experience to ensure consistently high quality. PostcardMania never outsources printing, so all mail delivery is fast, seamless and reliable. Marketing consultants give personal and professional service that helps business owners tailor their marketing campaigns down to the smallest details, such as mailing list options, custom design, delivery schedule, and more. This means small business owners have access to automated mailings and integrated direct mail campaigns with digital targeting options based on geo-location and search-based online behaviors at entry-level rates. PostcardMania is both future-forward and hometown focused since its mission is to assist small business owners succeed and support a healthy and strong national economy.
PostcardMania's answer
For direct mail automations, PostcardMania provides a number of things competitors canโt โ in house printing (for consistently high print quality), zero tech fees (so you only pay what you print and mail), and a huge template of proven, results based designs (so you donโt waste money on ineffective messaging). Beyond that, PostcardMania has an array of marketing services available, giving business owners and marketers access to invaluable marketing tools in one place. They can build a lead-generating website, schedule mailer campaigns for the entire year, customize and optimize postcards with the latest technology and design options as well as add on digital targeting on social media sites and Google. All of PostcardManiaโs direct mail marketing campaigns are also analyzed and optimized for best performance. Further, successful campaign results are cataloged and shared with the public to help other businesses in similar industries. Today, PostcardMania is still the only direct mail company that bases their marketing campaigns on the results of previous successes and results tracking.
PostcardMania's answer
PostcardManiaโs primary audience is comprised of savvy marketers looking for a competitive and business owners who need to improve their marketing and grow. The companyโs driving purpose is to help businesses market effectively to the point they grow and expand, bringing more jobs and opportunity to the U.S. economy.
PostcardMania's answer
In 1998, Founder and CEO Joy Gendusa started her own postcard printing business in Clearwater, FL inside a small 600-square foot cottage with just a computer and her own marketing savvy. The idea started after Joy personally experienced a customer service nightmare with another printer that put its own phone number on her mailers. Joy vowed to never do the same, and realized she could do everything that company provided her โ but better โ and thus PostcardMania was born. PostcardMania quickly began growing, and in 2005, Joy needed to set herself apart from larger direct mail companies that had begun to replicate her business model. She saw PostcardMania as headed for commoditization, so she did a quick course correction and created more value โ a campaign results department that tracks and shares marketing success stories with businesses in order to help them succeed and shortcut what can be a costly trial-and-error period. PostcardMania's unique approach to results-based campaigns has helped the company continue to grow year after year, despite an overall contraction in the print industry. Today PostcardMania is a $97 million-dollar company with over 350 staff and serves more than 113,000 businesses. PostcardManiaโs annual revenue has grown at an average of 20% year over year since 2019, following a decade of averaging 5% growth.
As a mini-blog, it is a nice alternative for Medium to publish and share information about programming.
However, the community and the organization are biased toward social justice (and they are open to it). You can read its Code of Conduct, it is so vague and politically leads (I prefer a term of service because it defines fair rules for everybody). So it alienates developers that we don't care about politics in pro of people that want to talk about any other topic such as sexuality, how women are unprivileged, and such. It even mandates to use inclusive language. Good grief.
My main complaint is the quality of the community. It is not StackOverflow (so we don't want to ask for an answer here), and most of the top topics are clickbait, such as "how to become a rockstar developer in ... days", "100 tips to become a better programmer" (and it doesn't even talk about programming).
Technically this "mini blog" site allows us to use markdown, and it is okay. However, the whole experience is really basic. Even the template is ugly.
Based on our record, DEV.to seems to be more popular. It has been mentiond 652 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.

The search box on the homepage now runs keyword, semantic, and hybrid search, with a toggle so you can compare and watch them disagree. Type pydub and flip to semantic mode to see it get the answer wrong; flip to hybrid to see it get it right again. Start tracking costs from day one with a tool like Tokonomics. Start charging when AI costs exceed 15% of revenue or when you see a clear 10x+ variance between your lightest and heaviest users. Early-stage startups can absorb costs temporarily for growth, but set the expectation early that AI features have usage-based pricing. - Source: dev.to / 5 days ago

While developing Wasp, a JS full-stack framework, we keep researching other ecosystems (Rails, Laravel, Django, etc.) and finding ways how they figured out developer productivity. We kept finding these reusable legos, so we gave them a name: "full-stack modules". Let's define what we mean by that exactly. - Source: dev.to / 19 days ago
