Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Polywork and DOER.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

DOER's answer:

DOER is a web app built with plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, hosted on Vercel behind Cloudflare. Payments run through Stripe, so members are paid directly and DOER never holds their money. Course content is delivered through Google Drive and YouTube so creators keep ownership of their material. It runs in any modern browser on desktop and mobile with nothing to install.

What makes your product unique?

DOER's answer:

DOER is a professional network with no ads, no algorithm and zero commission. Most professional platforms make money by selling your attention to advertisers or by taking a cut of what you earn. DOER does neither. Members pay a simple membership if they want the paid features, and keep 100% of what they charge for their services, courses and coaching.

It is built around four things you actually do: Connect, Learn, Earn and Build. And it starts every day with the Huddle, one goal, what is in the way and the next action, so the platform is about getting things done rather than scrolling.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

DOER's answer:

Because on DOER you are the mem

The full comparisons, with prices checked and dated and honest about what each platform does better, are at https://itsadoerthing.com/compare/linkedin, https://itsadoerthing.com/compare/upwork and https://itsadoerthing.com/compare/skool.ber, not the product.

  • Against LinkedIn: no ads, no engagement algorithm deciding who sees you, no feed built to make you feel behind. A profile on DOER is about what you do, not your title or pedigree.
  • Against Upwork and Fiverr: zero commission. Sell services to other members and keep 100% of it, Stripe fees only.
  • Against Udemy, Skool and Patreon: publish courses and paid coaching inside the same network where your connections already are, on one simple membership, with no cut taken from your income.

One platform for Connect, Learn, Earn and Build instead of four subscriptions and four sets of fees.

What's the story behind your product?

DOER's answer:

DOER started in November 2022 from a simple frustration: every professional platform makes its money by selling your attention to advertisers or by taking a cut of what you earn, and the feed ends up being a distraction from actual work rather than a help to it.

DOER was built to be the opposite. No ads, no algorithm, zero commission. A place to connect, learn, earn and build where what you do is the only credential, not your title, your pedigree or your history.

It was built solo by its founder over three years and went live in June 2026. The mission is to open achievement to anyone willing to do the work, no permission required. Entrepreneurship should not depend on your title, pedigree, network or starting point.

The founder's own story, and why he built it, is at https://itsadoerthing.com/scott.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

DOER's answer:

The people who have already done it, and the people with the drive to do it. DOER is built on one belief: building something should not depend on your title, pedigree, network or starting point. That means solo founders and small business owners, consultants, coaches and mentors, tradespeople going out on their own, people building a side business while holding down a job, and anyone who started without a network, a pedigree or a degree.

If you would rather have a platform that helps you finish the day's work than one that keeps you scrolling, DOER is for you.
