PokerPro.tools's answer
PokerPro is the only free browser-based poker platform that combines a multi-variant equity calculator (Texas Hold'em + 3-Card Hold'em / Pineapple + Omaha PLO), AI-powered hand analysis (via Claude), 4 strategy cheatsheets, and 18 other study tools โ all without signup. Most competitors are either calculator-only (PokerStove, Equilab) or require payment/install (ProPokerTools Pro tier, Holdem Manager). We're the modern, complete, browser-first alternative.
PokerPro.tools's answer
Three reasons: (1) Browser-based โ no download, works on Mac/Linux/mobile. Equilab and PokerStove are Windows-only. (2) AI Hand Reviewer is unique to PokerPro โ paste any hand, get instant Claude-powered analysis. No competitor offers this. (3) 20 tools in one platform vs ProPokerTools' calculator-first focus. For micro and low-stakes online players who want one tool that does most things well, PokerPro is the better choice. For high-stakes solver work or Stud variants, dedicated specialty tools may still win.
PokerPro.tools's answer
Online poker players at micro and low stakes (NL2 to NL50), specifically those who play Texas Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha. The audience is serious enough to want real study tools but doesn't justify paying $30-100/month for high-stakes software. Most users are part-time grinders, recreational players who want to improve, and complete beginners using our free Poker 101 crash course. We're educational only โ not for live real-time assistance.
PokerPro.tools's answer
PokerPro was built by a single founder, Akila, who plays NL2-NL10 online and got frustrated with the gap between free YouTube content (often outdated) and $30-100/month software (great for pros, overkill for micros). The first version shipped in May 2026 with 16 calculators, 4 cheatsheets, and an AI hand reviewer powered by Claude. The PRO tier ($9/month) and Elite tier ($24/month) exist to fund continued development without locking the core toolkit behind a paywall โ the calculators are free forever.
PokerPro.tools's answer
Next.js 16 (React framework, App Router), Tailwind CSS v4, Supabase (PostgreSQL + Auth + RLS) for backend, Vercel for hosting, Resend for transactional email, Anthropic Claude API for the AI hand reviewer. The poker engine is pure vanilla JavaScript โ a 7-card bit-mask hand evaluator with 80,000-iteration Monte Carlo simulation โ running in a Web Worker so the UI never freezes. Browser-only. No native apps.
