Plinthos covers the messy part they skip: per-room pricing, multiple tenants per flat, automatic bill splitting (equal, by days or by square meters), deposits with a guided check-out, and built-in chat. Both sides get an app, the tenant one is free forever, and it works across countries, currencies and five languages on iOS, Android and web.

It started from watching small landlords run room rentals on a WhatsApp group, a spreadsheet and the calculator app, losing an evening every month figuring out who paid rent and who still owed for the gas bill. Every tool out there was made for renting a whole apartment to one tenant. Plinthos was built to fit how rooms are actually rented: several tenants, split bills, deposits, all in one place.
