ProDevtivity 5 features
  • Simple Interface
Planning and scheduling tools like Plannr.do often emphasize clean, minimalistic interfaces that make it easy for users to quickly add tasks or plans without a steep learning curve.
  • Lightweight Tool
As a focused planning tool, it likely avoids feature bloat, making it fast to load and use for straightforward daily or weekly planning needs.
  • Accessibility
Being web-based (a .do domain suggests a task-oriented app), it can typically be accessed from any device with a browser, without requiring installation.
  • Quick Task Entry
Tools in this category often prioritize speed of input, allowing users to jot down plans or to-dos rapidly, which can boost productivity for time-sensitive planning.
  • Potential for Focused Use Case
By specializing in planning rather than being a broad project management suite, it may serve users who want a dedicated, distraction-free planning experience.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Information Available
There is limited publicly available detailed documentation or reviews about Plannr.do, making it hard to verify specific features, reliability, and long-term support.
  • Uncertain Feature Set
Without extensive third-party reviews, it's unclear whether the tool offers advanced features like integrations, collaboration, or robust customization that some users may need.
  • Possible Lack of Mobile App
If it is primarily a web app, users may miss out on native mobile app conveniences such as offline access or push notifications for reminders.
  • Unknown Scalability
It's unclear if the tool is built to handle complex, large-scale planning needs such as team projects or enterprise-level task management.
  • Support and Longevity Concerns
As a smaller or niche tool, there may be uncertainty regarding ongoing updates, customer support responsiveness, and the platform's long-term viability.
  • Productivity-Focused Toolkit
ProDevtivity is designed specifically to boost developer productivity by providing tools and utilities that streamline common development tasks, helping developers save time on repetitive work.
  • Code Generation and Templates
The platform offers code generation capabilities and templates that help developers quickly scaffold projects and components, reducing boilerplate coding and accelerating project setup.
  • Visual Studio Integration
ProDevtivity integrates with Visual Studio, a widely-used IDE, making it convenient for developers already working within the Microsoft development ecosystem to adopt without switching tools.
  • Workflow Automation
The tool helps automate common development workflows, reducing manual steps in the development process and allowing developers to focus more on business logic rather than repetitive tasks.
  • Customizable Features
ProDevtivity offers customizable options that allow developers to tailor the tool to their specific project needs and coding standards, making it adaptable to different development environments and team preferences.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Public Awareness
ProDevtivity is not widely known in the developer community compared to more established productivity tools, which means fewer community resources, tutorials, and peer support are available.
  • Niche Ecosystem Lock-in
The tool appears to be primarily focused on the Microsoft/.NET ecosystem, which limits its usefulness for developers working with other technology stacks such as Java, Python, or JavaScript-heavy environments.
  • Learning Curve
Like many productivity and code generation tools, there can be an initial learning curve to understand how to configure and effectively use all features, which may temporarily slow down developers before they see productivity gains.
  • Limited Third-Party Reviews
There are relatively few independent reviews and user testimonials available publicly, making it difficult for potential users to assess the tool's real-world effectiveness and reliability before committing.
  • Potential Over-Reliance on Generated Code
Heavy use of code generation tools can lead developers to become overly reliant on generated output, potentially reducing their understanding of underlying code patterns and making debugging or customization more challenging.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Plannr.do and ProDevtivity.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Plannr.do's answer

Plannr.do is currently sold to individuals rather than organisations, so there are no company accounts to list. Team and enterprise plans are on the roadmap.

What makes your product unique?

Plannr.do's answer

Most planners give you one thing done well and expect you to glue the rest together. Plannr.do is twenty-one sections, tasks, calendar, habits, finance, notes, journal, health, meals, goals in a single app that share one capture box. You type "coffee 4.50" or "gym tomorrow 7am" and it works out where that belongs and files it. No forms, no dropdowns, no picking a category first.

The other half is restraint: no feed, no notifications begging you to come back, no AI running in the background on your data. The model only runs when you press a button.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Plannr.do's answer

Because the switching cost between apps is the work. A to-do app, a habit tracker, a budget spreadsheet and notes in three places don't talk to each other, and you end up maintaining the system instead of using it.

Plannr.do is one subscription ($11.99/month billed yearly) instead of five, one login, one place to look. It's also genuinely quiet, it doesn't gamify you, and your data exports to JSON any time you want to leave.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Plannr.do's answer

Individuals, not teams. People who've already tried the productivity stack, Notion, Todoist, a budgeting app, a habit tracker, and got tired of maintaining four systems that don't know about each other. They want one calm place for their own life, not project management for a company. It ships worldwide in English, French, Spanish, German and Portuguese.

What's the story behind your product?

Plannr.do's answer

It started as my own setup. I had tasks in one app, money in a spreadsheet, notes scattered across two more, and goals nowhere at all, and I kept noticing that the time I spent tidying the tools was time I wasn't spending on anything. So I built the single place I wanted, section by section, and stopped opening the others. Plannr.do is that, cleaned up enough to hand to someone else.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Plannr.do's answer

Plain HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript. no framework. Firebase for auth, Firestore and hosting, Cloudflare Workers for the API layer, Workers AI (Llama 3.1 and 3.3) for the capture parsing that local rules can't handle, and Paddle as merchant of record. It ships as a PWA and as an Android app through Play.
