planhq-tech is the project management tool for teams who hate bloat. Most project management tools give you a blank canvas and a steep learning curve. We give you a finished plan. Built by a Management Accountant who watched too many projects die in chaotic email threads and messy spreadsheets, planHQ is designed to turn administrative "schlep" into structural order.
Forward to Plan: Send a client email or an internal thread to planhq-tech. Our AI parser extracts the milestones, tasks, and dates, building a structured project skeleton that you can adjust and tailor before adding it to you current initiatives or projects.
The Project Architect: Describe your project in one sentence. planhq-tech architects the entire sequence, you can accept and tailor the result, so you can start finishing work instead of just managing it.
The Weekly Pulse: Improve your Monday morning reporting. planhq-tech generates a narrative status update - what was finished, whatโs next, and where the roadblocks are - add and update the output so it is ready to share with your team or CEO.
Shift & Respawn: When reality happens and a deadline slips, one click shifts the entire initiative. Every date cascades perfectly, maintaining structural integrity without the manual Excel grind.
We operate on a Utility-First Framework. No social feeds, no complex sub-menus, and no "features for the sake of features." Just $7/seat for a tool that respects your deep work.
Stop managing projects. Start finishing them.

planhq-tech's answer
Most tools make you do all the manual data entry before you can even see a plan. We tried to make planHQ easy to manage so you can actually spend your time managing the project instead of the software.
You don't start from scratch: You can forward an email or type one sentence, and the AI builds the first draft of the plan for you.
Maintenance is fast: If a date changes, you can shift the whole project in one click instead of updating 20 individual tasks.
Reporting is easier: It drafts your weekly status updates based on the work you've already done, so you don't have to write them from scratch every Monday.

Most competitors are "empty boxes"โthey give you a powerful set of tools, but you have to do all the work to set them up and keep them updated. You should choose planhq-tech if you want a tool that helps you start the journey or managing smaller projects.
No "Blank Canvas" Anxiety: Instead of staring at a new project and wondering where to start, you just provide the context (an email or a brief), and planhq-tech gives you a starting point. Ultimately no one can replace your knowledge, planhq-tech assists you in writing it down.
Built for Reality: We know projects slip. In other tools, moving a deadline means manually clicking 50 dates. In planHQ, you shift one date, and the rest follows.
Low Maintenance: Weโve cut out the features that cause bloat. Thereโs no social feed or complex configuration. Itโs just a clean way to see what you need to finish today and what your team is working on this week.
planhq-tech's answer
We built planhq-tech for the "accidental project manager"โpeople who have a full-time job (like accounting, operations, marketing) but are suddenly tasked with coordinating a project or internal process improvement.
Our users typically include: - Internal Teams Improving Processes: Teams who are too small for enterprise software but have outgrown managing work in "mad" Excel spreadsheets and messy email threads.
Cross-Functional Coordinators: People managing projects that involve external vendors, consultants, and internal staff who all live on different email domains.
Compliance-Conscious Managers: Anyone who needs a lightweight audit trailโknowing who decided what, when it was approved, and where the final documents are kept.
planhq-tech's answer
I am a Management Accountant. While coordinating an ITS rollout for a new hospital, I realized that managing a complex project in Excel and Outlook is simply impossible once you involve external vendors and non-technical staff.
I found that most project tools on the market fall into two extremes: they are either too "loose" (basic to-do lists that lack structure) or too "bloated" (enterprise software that requires its own full-time manager).
I built planhq-tech to be the tool I needed then. It is designed for people who are already busy and have a project landed on top of their existing workload.
The goal was a tool that is:
Affordable enough to keep active for those smaller, internal process improvements that usually get lost in the noise of a busy department.
Simple enough for non-IT staff (like clinical or admin teams) to use without a learning curve.
Open enough to invite vendors and partners from different email domains into the same plan without friction.
It has nice features too like The "Project Architect" features because people managing these projects are already at capacity. They don't have time to learn a complex system; they just need to turn a messy brief into a structured plan so they can get back to their actual work.
planhq-tech's answer
planhq-tech is built primarily on Ruby on Rails. We chose Rails because it aligns with our philosophy of convention over configuration. It allows us to focus on building features that solve project chaos rather than managing complex infrastructure.
The stack includes:
Ruby on Rails: For the robust back-end logic and rapid feature development.
Tailwind CSS: To ensure a clean, modern, and responsive user interface that stays out of the way of the work.
PostgreSQL: For secure, structured data management.
AI Integration: Custom-tuned models for our "Project Architect" and email parsing features.
