PixelVault is image hosting built for developers and AI coding agents โ not a dashboard you click through. Everything is one HTTP call.
Upload an image and get an instant, permanent CDN URL back. No account required for your first upload: POST an image (raw bytes or a public URL to import) and you're live. Register later with a single API call to keep and manage your images.
What you get:
curl before you sign upFree to start. The full workflow โ register, upload, transform, serve โ runs on the free tier.
Get an API key at pixelvault.dev.

PixelVault.dev's answer
TypeScript, Hono on Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare R2 storage, Cloudflare CDN and image transforms, Neon serverless PostgreSQL with Drizzle ORM, and Astro for the static site. It runs entirely on Cloudflare's global edge.
PixelVault.dev's answer
PixelVault started from a simple frustration: existing image hosts are built for humans clicking upload buttons, not for code or AI agents. As coding agents became capable of generating and handling images, there was no host that let them do it in a single call. PixelVault was built agent-first from the ground up on Cloudflare's edge โ one call to register, one to upload, and a URL comes back.
PixelVault.dev's answer
PixelVault is image hosting designed around API calls and AI agents instead of a web dashboard. You can upload an image and get a permanent CDN URL back with a single HTTP request โ and your very first upload needs no account or API key at all. It's also one of the few image hosts with a native MCP server, so AI coding agents like Claude and Cursor can store and retrieve images directly.
PixelVault.dev's answer
It's the fastest path from "I have an image" to "here's a live URL." No dashboard to click through, no egress fees ever, and a genuinely free tier that covers the full workflow โ upload, on-the-fly transforms (resize, format-convert, AI background removal), and global-edge serving. Developers and agents get an OpenAPI spec and an MCP connector out of the box, which the incumbents don't offer.
PixelVault.dev's answer
Developers and AI coding agents. Specifically, engineers who need programmatic image hosting inside apps, scripts, or CI pipelines, and AI agents that need to store and serve images they generate โ without a human clicking through an upload UI.

I'm in the UK and can't access https://imgur.com/ - an American service that now refuses to serve content to Britain because "On September 30, 2025, Imgur blocked users from the United Kingdom in response to a potential fine from the Information Commissioner's Office regarding its handling of children's personal data". I presume that means OSA. It does lend credibility to the blocks when it's US companies trying... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
> If you've ever opened Reddit, LinkedIn, Pinterest, or practically any popular service on your phone's web browser, you've likely encountered it. Another website that asks to Get The App is https://imgur.com/ , every time you open a link to just view that image you instantly got asked to Get The App. It's really annoying! - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
For this reason, I typically suggest users host their images on Imgur (https://imgur.com/), as the issues mentioned above do not exist for Imgur URLs. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
I developed a full-stack image sharing platform similar to Giphy or Imgur in order to showcase the power of building full-stack applications with only Netlify Primitives. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
In the beginning, finding a place to store images was quite difficult. I once set up a simple image server using Node.js, but it was a burden to maintain. There were many things to consider, and I didn't want to spend too much time on that. By chance, I found the website imgur.com - which allowed me to upload images without many restrictions, and at that time, the image loading speed from imgur was quite good, so... - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
