LinearB might be a bit more popular than Pixelorama. We know about 28 links to it since March 2021 and only 23 links to Pixelorama. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Latest Aseprite is still available with free (as in beer) source code to compile, even if it is a bit heavy on the dependencies these days, including requiring that you install a special fork of Skia iirc. I paid for it to get the pre-compiled binaries for Windows, but on Linux and OSX I always compiled it myself anyway. On FreeBSD, that is my desktop OS of choice now, I use the ancient open source version of... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
I'm finalizing a large bundle of raster graphics and animation importers for Godot. This bundle already supports: Aseprite, Krita and Pencil2D. And will be able to support GraphicsGale, Piskel, Pixelorama and regular GIF-format in the future. Source: about 3 years ago
If none of this sounds appealing, the only other suggestions I have are either find 3rd party magnifying lens software or to search for a new pixel editor. There are some newer pixel art editors out there, such as Pixelorama, PixiEditor and PixelMash. There are also general raster image editors, such as GIMP and Krita. Other suggestions are listed on Lospec. Source: over 3 years ago
Pixelorama is another open source pixel editor that looks increasingly like an alternative to Aseprite (although I do not think it is in any way officially trying to be a free clone of that). Source: over 3 years ago
There's Pixelorama[1], a web-based pixel art editor. Haven't really used it but it looks pretty impressive. 1: https://orama-interactive.itch.io/pixelorama. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
LinearB is an engineering productivity platform that provides visibility into developer workflows, automation, and process metrics. It collects data across the entire development lifecycle to diagnose blockers and optimize delivery. One user reports saving 321 developer-hours per month. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
Most tools measure half the picture. Traditional metrics platforms like LinearB focus on quantitative signals (DORA metrics, cycle time). Survey platforms like Culture Amp capture sentiment across organizations but aren't developer-specific. DX (founded by DORA/SPACE research creators) combines developer surveys with SDLC analytics. These approaches require deliberate implementation and buy-in. - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
LinearB is a SaaS solution that retrieves metrics overtime, some of them being used to calculate DORA Metrics. They also have a Youtube channel that advocate for DORA Metrics and more. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
In helping engineering orgs get visibility into developer workflows with LinearB, Dan Lines and Ori Keren discovered that the majority of cycle time was being spent in pull request and code review. They found that:. - Source: dev.to / about 3 years ago
LinearB and there are a few cheaper alternatives. Ties in DORA metrics from gut repos and agile project management tools like JIRA. https://linearb.io. Source: about 3 years ago
