Sintera is an AI journaling app built for pattern recognition. Most journaling tools stop once the entry is saved. Sintera keeps working with the entry after you finish it, so the next reflection starts with more context.

How it works

  • Write or dictate. Start with what is actually on your mind, by typing or voice. You do not need a perfect prompt.
  • Deepen with AI Coaches. Use a specialized or custom AI Coach when you need a better question while keeping your voice in charge.
  • Finalize. Finalizing tells Sintera the entry is ready for analysis, insight, and a way back into the thread.
  • Return with context. You receive a summary, an emotional analysis, an artistic image, three quotes from your own writing, and one pattern insight with follow-up prompts.

When you finalize an entry, Sintera converts it into privacy-preserving, abstracted signals for theme, emotion, context, action, and time. Those signals connect across entries, so Sintera can surface returning themes, repeated contexts, avoided areas, and contradictions. The Patterns view shows which entries connect to the same theme and which prompt can help you continue from that thread.

Your writing is encrypted in transit and at rest, and AI insights are generated securely on Sintera's server. The private graph does not store your raw journal text.

Sintera is available on the web, with iOS and Android coming soon. Try it free for 7 days. Sintera supports reflection and self-understanding; it is not therapy or a substitute for mental health treatment.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing PicMonkey and Sintera.

What makes your product unique?

Sintera's answer:

Sintera is built for pattern recognition, not just writing. Most journaling tools stop once the entry is saved; Sintera keeps working with it. Every finalized entry returns a summary, an emotional analysis, art, three quotes, and one pattern insight connected to prior reflection. Pattern detection runs on privacy-preserving, abstracted signals โ€” the private graph never stores your raw journal text. Follow-up prompts come from your own words, so the next entry starts with context instead of a blank page.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Sintera's answer:

Not more prompts โ€” more continuity. Many journaling apps help you start writing; Sintera is for returning to what you wrote. It uses AI where continuity matters: sharper questions from AI Coaches, finalization that turns each entry into insight, comparison across time, and the right thread when you come back. And your voice stays the source: Sintera deepens and connects your own words rather than writing the journal for you.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Sintera's answer:

People who already reflect, journal, or think deeply and want a private practice that becomes more useful the longer they keep writing โ€” especially people who want to understand what keeps coming back: recurring emotional patterns, repeated contexts, and blind spots.

What's the story behind your product?

Sintera's answer:

Sintera began with a simple problem: the notebook held the truth, but not the pattern. Founder Jessica Andrade, a certified health coach, had tried the obvious levers โ€” food, movement, sleep, routines, discipline. They helped, but they did not explain why the same emotional patterns kept coming back. Journaling changed the way she listened to herself, but her notebook left the clues scattered across different days. Sintera came from that missing link: a journaling app that keeps your own words at the center, then helps you connect what repeats over time.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Sintera's answer:

Sintera runs on Google Cloud Firestore and a Neo4j Aura graph for privacy-preserving pattern signals. AI features are processed server-side via OpenRouter (text, embeddings, analysis, images) and ElevenLabs (voice transcription with Zero Retention Mode). Payments run on Stripe and RevenueCat.

12 Best Free Photoshop Alternatives You Should Try
There are also a bunch of filters and effects that you might find useful. However, PicMonkey isnโ€™t nearly as feature-rich as Photoshop is, and it tends to respond a little slow at times. That said, the biggest problem in PicMonkey is that unless you subscribe to a pro subscription, youโ€™ll not be able to export your images..
