As answered by people managing PicMonkey and ArtDapter.
ArtDapter's answer:
ArtDapter is written in ExtendScript (JSX), the native scripting language of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with a ScriptUI interface. It runs entirely inside the host application — no external services, no network calls, no data leaving the machine. The 6FA method is not exclusive to Adobe — it can be implemented natively in any design application that exposes a scripting API. (The method is patent pending).
ArtDapter's answer:
ArtDapter is based on the 6FA method: six fundamental aspect ratios underpin virtually all advertising formats currently in use. Six master artboards are designed once, and every other format in the media plan is resized based on them. The resizing process is deterministic, not generative. The method is patent pending.
ArtDapter's answer:
Most resizing tools are either cloud platforms you upload work to, or AI features that guess at the layout. ArtDapter is neither. It runs inside Illustrator and Photoshop, so client artwork never leaves the studio, and it produces the exact result you designed rather than an approximation you then have to fix. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription and no seat fees, and a single license covers both apps on the same machine.
ArtDapter's answer:
Art directors, designers and production artists at advertising agencies, in-house creative teams and freelance studios, anyone who regularly resize a campaign into dozens of formats for a media plan. It is built for people who already work in Illustrator and Photoshop and want the repetitive part of production handled without giving up control of the layout.
ArtDapter's answer:
Every campaign ends the same way: one approved concept, and a media plan that demands dozens of executions of it. Agencies, studios and freelancers alike lose hours a week to work that is mechanical rather than creative, and the turnaround keeps getting tighter.
The tools built to solve this mostly ask you to upload the artwork to a cloud platform or hand the layout over to an AI — and the AI built into design software is still not accurate enough for every format a media plan requires. Neither option sits well when the work is under NDA and the client expects it to stay inside the studio.
ArtDapter exists for that gap. The 6FA method came out of a simple observation: six aspect ratios cover nearly every advertising format in use. Design six masters, and the rest of the media plan is resized from them — deterministically, inside Illustrator and Photoshop, with nothing uploaded and nothing guessed at. Specs in, assets out, ready to traffic.
