It ships with ICAO 9303-compliant templates for 130+ countries, AI face detection, automatic background removal, and print-ready sheet layouts, and the app is fully localized in 19 languages.

What's the story behind your product?

PhotoID Studio was built after watching photo studios do the same tedious work on every client: manually cropping to exact millimeter specs, checking head-size ratios against official rules, cleaning up backgrounds, and arranging prints — with different requirements for every country. Getting it wrong means a rejected application and a customer coming back angry. The idea was to compress that whole routine into seconds: open the photo, pick the country, and get a compliant, print-ready result — while keeping client photos on the studio's own computer instead of someone else's cloud.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

PhotoID Studio is a native desktop application for macOS and Windows. Its computer vision pipeline — face detection, facial landmark analysis, background removal, and compliance checking — runs entirely on-device using locally deployed AI models, with GPU acceleration where available. Client photos are never uploaded to the cloud for processing.
