Permito is a voice practice tool for US visa consular interviews. Applicants speak to an AI officer that behaves like a real consulate interviewer โ it listens, reacts to answers, and follows up with tough questions when something sounds off.
The tool supports F-1 student visas, H1B work visas, B1/B2 tourist visas, and other categories. Before each session, the user provides their background โ university, employer, finances, travel history โ and the AI builds the conversation around those details. No two sessions go the same way.
After each practice interview, Permito generates a detailed review: which answers were strong, where the applicant hesitated, and what could be improved. The platform also offers free tools including a visa interview question bank filtered by visa type, a DS-160 form checker, a financial readiness calculator, and a document checklist.

Permito.ai's answer
Most alternatives are text-based question lists or generic chatbots. Permito replicates the real interview format โ a live voice conversation where the AI reacts to your specific answers and pushes back on weak spots.
Permito.ai's answer
It's voice-first. Users actually speak out loud to an AI consular officer instead of reading sample Q&A or typing in a chatbot.

I'm 18M Indian. Growing up I've always been a daydreamer, if you may. Since 8th grade - I'm fascinated by programming. And I'm good at it too. But I'm not cocky too. I wouldn't say I'm at an advanced level, but I can most probably solve any problem - in time - with my skills. I also keep my skills brushed by solving problems on Hacker Rank (every day or alternate days) and try my best to contribute on... Source: almost 3 years ago
