Three things make it different. First, logging takes seconds, because a symptom diary nobody keeps up is worthless. Second, the app looks for patterns across entries over time rather than just showing you a calendar, so it can surface connections you would never spot day to day. Third, it turns all of that into a doctor-ready report you can hand to a provider, which is the part that actually changes the appointment. Most women in perimenopause are told their labs look normal and sent home. Walking in with months of organized data is a different conversation.

It also includes a private community, mood playlists and an open-level Pilates program, because the symptoms are not only physical.

Honestly, it depends on what stage you are in. If you are trying to conceive or tracking a regular cycle, apps like Flo, Clue or Natural Cycles do that job well and PeriSlayer is not trying to replace them.

PeriSlayer is for the stage after that, when your cycle has become unpredictable and the symptom list has grown to include sleep, mood, energy, brain fog and hot flashes. The cycle-first apps were not designed for that, so perimenopause tends to sit in them as an afterthought.

The practical difference is what you walk out with. PeriSlayer is built to produce a summary you can hand to a doctor, because the hardest part of perimenopause for most women is not the tracking, it is being taken seriously at the appointment.

One more thing worth saying plainly: PeriSlayer is currently in free beta on iOS, so there is nothing to lose by trying it alongside whatever you already use.

Women roughly 38 to 55 who are in perimenopause, whether or not anyone has told them that is what is happening.

The typical user has noticed that something changed. Sleep got worse, periods got erratic, mood swings arrived, the brain fog is real, and the heat comes out of nowhere. She has probably mentioned some of it to a doctor and been told her labs look normal. She is not looking for a diagnosis from an app. She is looking for a way to see what is actually going on in her own body and to be able to prove it to someone who can help.

A secondary group is women who are not there yet but want a baseline before things shift, and women who are past it and still tracking symptoms that did not go away.

Geographically the beta is mostly US so far, but perimenopause does not respect borders and the app works anywhere.

PeriSlayer was built by a solo founder, Elyse Hamilton, out of Havertown, Pennsylvania.

The starting point was a gap that is easy to describe and hard to fix. Perimenopause can run eight to ten years and bring more than thirty symptoms, and most women go through it with very little support. The apps on the market were built around the menstrual cycle, which is exactly the signal that stops being reliable during perimenopause. Meanwhile the appointment where you might get help is fifteen minutes long and depends on you remembering, accurately, what the last six months felt like.

So the idea was straightforward: make tracking fast enough that people actually do it, let software find the patterns across the data, and turn the result into something a doctor can read in under a minute.

The website went live in July 2026 and the iOS beta followed. Android is in development. It is bootstrapped and built by one person, which means it moves at the pace of one person, but it also means the app is not answering to anyone but the women using it.

The iOS app is built natively in Swift. An Android version is in development.

On the data side, PeriSlayer uses AI to find patterns across a user's symptom entries over time and to generate the doctor-ready report from them.

The web presence at perislayer.com, including the Learn articles, runs separately from the app.

Privacy matters here more than in most categories, since the data is a record of someone's symptoms. PeriSlayer is a wellness companion rather than a medical device, and the community is private rather than public.
