Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing PDF2me and ProcessFlow.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

PDF2me's answer

N/A โ€” free, anonymous tool with no tracked accounts

What makes your product unique?

PDF2me's answer

PDF2me runs every operation without an account, a watermark, or a daily cap โ€” merge, split, compress, convert, protect, unlock, edit, rotate and extract are all free with no catch. Files are processed in memory and never stored on the server, so nothing lingers after the job is done. It also ships with a purpose-built PDF-to-Excel converter that reconstructs Gantt charts from MS Project PDF exports as real floating bars positioned by date โ€” not a generic table dump. The whole toolkit is available in 15 languages.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

PDF2me's answer

Most free PDF tools cap you at 2-3 operations a day, force an account, or stamp a watermark on the output unless you pay. PDF2me removes all three restrictions permanently, not just as a trial. It's also faster to trust with sensitive documents since files are handled in memory only and are never written to disk or a database โ€” there's nothing to leak or delete later.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PDF2me's answer

Everyday PDF users who need a quick, one-off task done โ€” students, freelancers, and small-business or office employees handling contracts, invoices, reports, or forms โ€” plus a project-management niche using the PDF-to-Excel Gantt feature to pull MS Project schedules into Excel.

What's the story behind your product?

PDF2me's answer

It was built out of frustration with existing PDF tools that force sign-up, watermark the output, or cap you at a handful of free conversions a day. PDF2me set out to remove all three limits โ€” a fully free, browser-based toolkit with no account and no watermark โ€” and later added a dedicated PDF-to-Excel Gantt chart converter after a real project-management workflow needed to get MS Project PDF exports back into editable spreadsheets.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

PDF2me's answer

Python and Flask on the backend, served through Gunicorn behind Nginx. PDF parsing/generation relies on pypdf, pdfplumber and pypdfium2; Word/Excel output is built with python-docx and openpyxl (with Pillow for rendering Gantt bars as images). The custom "ASYA" text-extraction engine adaptively learns each document's own layout (font sizes, line spacing, header/footer zones) instead of relying on fixed thresholds.
