OpusTools is a lightweight online tool that helps you convert, compress, and download audio or video files using the Opus codecโright from your browser. No installs, no ads, no bloat.
You just drag in a file, set a few quality options, and download the result in seconds. It works entirely client-side, so your media never gets uploaded or stored anywhere.
I built it because most converters I found were either filled with ads, required installing sketchy software, or had annoying usage limits. I wanted something simple, fast, and privacy-friendly.
I use it for reducing audio file sizes when sharing clips on platforms like Telegram or WhatsApp, and itโs also great for podcast audio, game assets, or compressing background music for web apps. The Opus codec delivers great quality at small sizes.
