Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing optiCutter and Veroom.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Veroom's answer:

Unlike heavy enterprise platforms like Frame.io, Filestage, or ReviewStudio, Veroom is uncompromisingly built for creative freelancers and small studios first.

Here is why freelancers choose us over the competition:

  • Zero-Friction Client Experience: Competitors often force clients to create accounts or navigate complex enterprise UI just to leave a comment. With Veroom, clients receive a branded, professional portal where they can instantly leave timestamped feedback and approve work with zero friction.
  • The Complete Workflow, Not Just Reviews: While competitors focus solely on video reviews, Veroom manages the entire client lifecycleโ€”from taking client information to turning scattered feedback into trackable revision tasks, to securing final file delivery.
  • Built for Creators, Not Corporations: We don't bog you down with enterprise-level permissions or complex agile task management and software slop. We optimize for simplicity, helping freelancers look professional and get their work approved faster.

What's the story behind your product?

Veroom's answer:

I built Veroom because I got tired of seeing others, and myself having to manage projects across multiple tools. Feedback would come through WhatsApp, revisions through email, files lived in Google Drive, Collecting client info using google forms...., and keeping track of everything became harder than the creative work itself.

and When I tried looking for some solutions online, there wasn't a lot of tools but all of them were either: 1. built for big studios and are too complicated to work with. 2. didn't have everything that a creative freelancer would need.

I wanted to build something that felt simple and would save freelancers at least 5 hours/week. One place where creatives could share their work, collect timestamped feedback, manage revisions, compare versions, collaborate with clients/team members, collect client informations and deliver final files without asking clients to create an account.

This launch is the result of many months of learning, building, redesigning, and fixing mistakes and bugs. There's still a long road ahead, and I'm sure there are things I can improve.

What makes your product unique?

Veroom's answer:

Veroom is the first client workspace built explicitly for the modern creative freelancer. While most project management tools focus entirely on internal team tasks, Veroom focuses on the client collaboration workflow. We unite every scattered element of creative workโ€”Intake forms, timestamped feedback, version comparison, team collaboration, final approvals, and secure file deliveryโ€”into one beautifully simple platform. We eliminate the chaos of juggling WhatsApp messages, Google Drive links, and email threads, allowing creators to look like top-tier studios and spend less time managing clients and more time creating.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Veroom's answer:

Veroom's primary audience consists of independent creative freelancers and small creative studios who manage high-value client relationships. This includes: - Video Editors & Motion Designers - Music Producers & Audio Engineers - Graphic Designers & Thumbnail Artists - Photographers & Animators We are not built for large corporate enterprises or general IT project managers. We are built for the creators who need a streamlined, professional way to share their art and collect feedback from their clients.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Veroom's answer:

Veroom is built on a modern, high-performance, and deeply scalable technology stack:

  • Frontend Ecosystem: Built with React 19 and TypeScript, heavily optimized using Vite for lightning-fast loading speeds. We utilize TailwindCSS (v4) for a beautifully responsive design system and Framer Motion for premium micro-animations.
  • Backend & Infrastructure: Powered by a custom Node.js/Express server, running alongside Supabase (PostgreSQL) for highly secure database management and authentication.
  • File Storage & Delivery: We utilize Cloudflare R2 for lightning-fast, globally distributed edge storage (with Supabase Storage as a robust fallback), ensuring massive video files and creative assets are delivered to clients reliably and without delay.
  • Email Delivery: For seamless platform notifications and secure sharing invites, verification emails, etc..., we use Resend combined with React Email to deliver beautifully designed, highly reliable transactional emails directly to clients.
