Freelancers, agencies-of-one, bookkeepers and small teams hold access other people depend on โ€” client clouds, domains, the logins that keep sites online. Proceedly makes sure that access isn't stranded if you're ever unreachable. You check in on a simple schedule (one tap, a webhook, or Telegram). Miss it past a grace window you set and Proceedly escalates gently; if you stay silent, a person you named confirms before anything moves โ€” or, on a paid plan, it releases automatically. It then notifies the people who depend on you and hands your trusted contact an encrypted handoff plan. We never hold your passwords, only instructions you control.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing openSourceCM and Proceedly.

What makes your product unique?

Proceedly's answer:

Proceedly triggers on you being unreachable, not on death. Most tools only act after a death certificate or many months of inactivity โ€” the wrong trigger for the most likely emergency. Proceedly runs on a simple check-in you control; miss it past a grace window and a person you trust confirms before anything is handed off, or on a paid plan it releases automatically. It's built to resist false alarms, and it hands over encrypted instructions โ€” never your passwords or keys.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Proceedly's answer:

Dead-man's-switch tools are usually all-or-nothing and death-focused; safety check-in apps alert a contact but carry no plan. Proceedly does both โ€” a reliable check-in and a human-confirmed (or automatic) handoff of an encrypted plan to the people who depend on you. Your plan is encrypted in your browser with AES-256, so we only ever store the locked version. And it coordinates the whole handoff โ€” notifying your contacts and delivering your instructions โ€” rather than just flipping one switch.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Proceedly's answer:

People others depend on for access: freelancers and agencies-of-one who hold clients' logins, bookkeepers and fractional operators with access to other people's money and systems, small-business owners, and anyone who is the single point of failure for accounts that matter. Also individuals who live alone and want a check-in that alerts someone if they go silent.

What's the story behind your product?

Proceedly's answer:

Proceedly was built by a solo founder whose products all depended on access only they held โ€” domains, deploy keys, client accounts. One real stretch of being unreachable and the people relying on them would have been stranded, with no safe way in. The existing tools only acted after death or long inactivity โ€” the wrong trigger. So Proceedly became the missing piece: a quiet check-in, a trusted human, and instructions handed off only when someone confirms.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Proceedly's answer:

Next.js (React, TypeScript) and Tailwind CSS on Vercel; Supabase (PostgreSQL) for data and auth; client-side AES-256 encryption via the Web Crypto API; Stripe for billing; Amazon SES for email; and a Telegram bot for one-tap check-ins and alerts.
